Its now over 6 months since we arrived back from our "adventure" thru the Caribbean. We booked our B A flight 7 months pria to departure, costing £540 for an open return, valid 6 months. We arrived on Tobago,2nd Jan,03, minus luggage!! (that arrived 3 days later)
We stayed at the Toucan Inn, it was very clean , friendy ,and we met some great people, we enjoyed the layed back attitude ,the beaches, sand, sea were so clean ,on day 8 we were invited to a wedding by a couple we had met at the Toucan inn, They chose to get married at Englishmans bay. WHat a perfect setting , A perfect day ,
We travelle d up to Charlottsville to say at Man War Bay cotteges. !! We could not have asked for more ,(apart from some definate updating,)the cottege were set on the beach,(80$for 4 per night) with the coral reef just yards away. Pelicans diving into the sea, locals calling to sell there home made cakes,& humming birds , were just some of the magic of this place. watching the men bring ther catch of the day in and the excitment it brought to all was a joy !!! .Snorkling in Pirat's Bay Was possibly the best we encountered in the Caribbean. Compared to the Red Sea .the Carib; is very disapointing!!
We went on to travell to Grenada WE paid £115 aprox for an open ticket to St Lucia, which aloud us to stop at any of the islands on the way. Eg Grenada ,ST VIncent ,Barbados. We did used a ferry service and the local small schooner to get to the Grenadines. Our other favorite island was Carriacou. small, laid back, & friendly. On our two months away, we found everyone to be friendy, and very helpfull we would definately go back to Tobago, & Charlotteville .
