Hi!

While I am in Tobago in October it is my parents 35th Wedding Anniversary (my parents will also be with us). For their wedding anniversary I would love to plan them a very special and romantic evening. We are all staying at the Coco Reef. Anybody got any suggestions?

The Seahorse Inn in Black Rock is very nice, they could dine by candlelight to the sound of the waves.

If it is a memorable family party you want then a private boat charter with beach BBQ/drinks to deserted "No Mans Land" beach, which is not too far from the Coco Reef but best reached by boat, would be memorable indeed. Steel pannists would set it off nicely, with all catering arranged for you.

Hope it goes well whatever they fo, and don't forget that you have a first class restaurant at the Coco Reef and I am sure they could arrange a special dining area for you if you contact them in advance - fax might be best.

I am not really supposed to advertise on this site - Steve will tell me off - but we handle the coordination of any wedding or celebration of any sort - your parents do would be something we could organise, including transport, catering, etc etc.

No Mans Land beach itself does not need to be booked as it is a deserted spit of beach fringed with palm trees etc, clear calm blue water and is idyllic. Although it is a public access beach it is rarely used due to access problems (unless you travel by boat which of course can be made romantic if private hire) and you would be likely to have it to yourselves. The boat/catering/music crews would ensure that you would have a secluded part to yourselves too.

I've just returned from two days away and am trying to wade through my email notifications of the 40 forum posts made in the past two days (why does it always go bananas when I'm away?). Becuase I'm reading the posts from email copies, I don't always check the forum properly, so didn't notice the replies you'd already received. I’m assuming that because you’re staying at the Coco Reef, you’re thinking of somewhere other than the Coco Reef’s Tamaras restaurant – which would be a good choice in itself.

The most obvious choice for the circumstances is undoubtedly the Seahorse Inn.
