It is with very great sadness and horror that I must report another murder in Tobago. As usual with news from Tobago, details are sketchy and difficult to validate, but here is what I know. My apologies to the family if any of this is incorrect but the information is given in best faith.
Over the weekend, police were called to a house in Bacolet after neighbours became concerned at the sudden dissapearance of German owner, Peter Taut. Three local men appeared to be living in the house. These men told police that Peter had sold the house to them and that he had returned to Germany. Contacts confirm that this was Peter's intention. Police later returned to investigate further - and found a body buried in a shallow grave in the back yard. The three men have been arrested.
To repeat the words of one contact, I am speechless. Our sympathy naturally must go to Peter's family and friends and, for once, to the Tobago police who seem to have acted very speedily and efficiently in this case. I hope that I am not proved wrong as the story unfolds.
