We stayed at Birdie's nest for the first week of November 2009. We chose to stay here partially because of the excellent reviews. Having stayed there, I have to say that Prince lived up to our expectations, even though as a result of the reviews, they were high. He was excellent. The place was immaculate, clean, and well equipped.
I'm taking a bit of a lazy way out here, but the review written by Chris Sowerbutts from UK in March 2009 very closely reflects our experience.
Prince took the time to help us get settled (took us to a bank to draw local currency, grocery shopping (he bought us "doubles" while we were shopping - they were delicious), took us to buy a snorkel, and showed us around a bit for orientation. He also spent some time in the evenings helping us to plan our week, and was a mine of useful information. We rented a car from him. He took us on a tour - I could go on and on. He was an absolute pleasure, and it's apparent that he loves Tobago and he does want folks that stay with him to have a good experience overall. He does what he can to enable that.
The bottom line is that we would go back and stay at Birdie's Nest in a heart beat.
