Snorkelling sites at Crown Point

I am confused by the description of these sites!
The beach at Store Bay (below Crown Point Hotel) is a low grade site - poor coral, few fish and poor viz; not worth bothering. 'Kariwak' is described as an easy swim from there to the SW, but swimming in that direction quickly leads you into very rough and cloudy water - with a considerable current.
Coconut bay is described as a serious swim from Store bay and from the other side (Cable Bay), yet it is right next door - no distance at all! However, swimming is not allowed at the righthand end of Store Bay (lifeguards have it marked as unsafe due to boat traffic and the antics of the jet skis).
The snorkelling from Store Bay is also very restricted - not beyond marker buoys - again due the jet skis roaring up and down.
