Deciding on our honeymoon location . .

We have been researching almost all of the Caribbean islands for our honeymoon location and have narrowed the location to St. Lucia, St. Thomas/St. John and Tobago. Since many of your posts are from people that have traveled extensively, how does Tobago stand apart from the other locations in the Caribbean? We are looking for rest and relaxation along with outdoor activities (horseback riding, hiking, snorkeling, etc). We have two free nights at the Hilton as well - has anyone stayed there recently?

I have enjoyed your website tremendously! Thanks!

Hi Allison

Every Caribbean island has its own character and personality and there is a vast choice ranging from flat coral islands with amazing white sand beaches to lush mountainous volcanic islands. It all depends upon what you like.

Tobago is lush and green. There are islands with far better beaches. There are island with far better hotels (well, more expensive hotels). There are islands that offer more to do. However, none of them offer the same levels of genuine warmth and hospitality that Tobago does.

Tobago offers all the features you have asked for – rest and relaxation, horseback riding, hiking and snorkelling.

The Hilton is an extremely good hotel with, arguably, the best rooms on the island.

I can only suggest that you search the forum and draw your own conclusions from the wealth of information here. I certainly know it would be my choice out of the islands you mentioned – or any other, for that matter.

Enjoy!
