Entertainment and Restaurants near Great Courland Bay

Hi,

I'm about to book a holiday at the Turtle Beach Hotel (Great Courland Bay). Don't worry, we know it's had very mixed reviews...

We don't want to go for the all inclusive option, as we'd sooner explore the island than spend lots of time at the resort (plus we're vegetarians, which means all inclusive tends to meen a very boring eating experience!)

Do any of you know how far out great Courland Bay is from other restaurants or evening entertainment?

We were thinking of hiring a car for the full 10 days.

Thanks!
:D

Hello Ruth

Welcome aboard!

Renting a car will be essential if you are not dining at the hotel, because there are no restaurants within walking distance. Black Rock has a couple of very small local restaurants but I know nothing at all about them I'm afraid and I wouldn't hold out much hope that they will provide much of a solution to you. Your best bet is to look at our main satellite/aerial map (menu: Tobago > Maps & Regions) of the Great Courland Bay/Stonehaven Bay areas where you will be able to see all the restaurants most popular with tourists. Those in Pleasant Prospect will be your best bet - a five minute drive from the hotel. Also, check out the Lower Caribbean region section of our Restaurants listings.
