My wife and I were looking at apartments and guesthouses in Tobago for our anniversary. We wanted privacy, comfort, quiet, access to the beach, a place with a swimming pool and somewhere away from all the hustle and bustle. After much searching, we finally found AT LAST HOLIDAY APARTMENTS. Situated on the beach at Black Rock and about equal distance from Scarborough and Crown Point, it was cozy, had a large swimming pool with the beach on the other side of the fence. Our host, Mrs. Brooks was a gem. She offered to pick us up at the Port after we came off the ferry, ensured we were comfortable and entertained us with stories of her life in Scotland and her travels to other parts of the world. For us, there was nothing better than to relax or take a refreshing dip in the pool on a hot sunny day while sipping cool drinks, or at nights looking at the stars. The house is about eight feet above sea level, faces west out to sea and the view beyond is wonderful. On evenings, one can see fabulous sunsets and later at night, a sky full of stars. . We were able to stand next to the pool and see the waves crashing on the beach during high tide. The apartment was spacious with a well-equipped kitchenette, large bathroom, and comfortable bed. Turtle Beach, Fort Bennett, Fort James, the Courland Monument, the Mystery Tomb and Mt Irvine Golf Course are just a stones throwaway. We will definitely be returning to At Last Apartments and look forward to seeing Mrs. Brooks again.
