Best Scuba diving centres for guests staying at Coco Reef ?

My wife and I are planning to come to Tobago 14th Feb for 7 nights and are looking at Coco Reef or Blue Haven Hotels.
My wife doesn't dive but I am an Advanced PADI diver and will want to do at least 4 days diving of a reasonably challenging standard.

I know Speyside is THE place for diving but would rather stay in the other areas.
Has anyone done this and which dive centres did you use?

Is there plenty of diving within reasonable travelling of either Coco Reef or Blue Haven ??

Has anyone got any other hotel recommendations being the above in mind ?

Cheers all, this site is great !!

We have just come back from 12 nights at the Coco Reef and are both keen divers (I've done about 80 dives all over the world). Coco Reef has a dive shop on site which is very professionally run. There are several good sites within an easy boat hop from there, including a couple of wrecks, so I think this would be a good base for you.

You could always do a day trip up to Speyside and dive there one day, which you can arrange once you get there.

I believe the Blue Haven hotel is quite isolated in its location, but I can't really comment on it.

Hope this helps,
Laura

Hi, my partner and i did our PADI Open Water in July of this year at the Manta Dive Centre on Pigeon Point Rd, just down the road from the Coco Reef. We found them excellent and would recomend them strongly. Both Amanda and Randy were excellent instructors. They do dives all around the island but specialise in diving with the Manta's at Speyside. Hope this helps, they were also one of the better priced Dive Centres on the island. They have a website at http://www.mantadive.com but it seems to be down at the moment
