Getting around in the Trinidad airport

Greetings everyone!

So hard to believe that the time is finally here - I leave tomorrow night :)

One thing that keeps picking my brain is landing in Trinidad before I catch my flight over to Tobago.

Would someone mind giving me a quick low-down on how things work?

You get off the plane then......?

Having never travelled 'over-seas' before, I'm finding myself getting a little nervous.

I'll also be checking in to the Tobago Express counter for my Tobago flight, are the counters easy to find?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Jo-Anne

Fear not! Relax and start limin' or you will get highly frustrated with the pace of life on Tobago. It's many, many years since I flew into Trinidad's Piarco airport - but fear not - it is tiny in comparison to Vancouver's airport. It will be almost impossible to go wrong. I'm sure one of our regular Tobago contributors may read this and be able to give you more detailed and practical advice, but time is running out and I know that transferring will be NO PROBLEM, as the Tobagonian's are so fond of saying.

Have a great journey and holiday and be sure to let us know how you get on.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your words of encouragement!

I woke up from a dream chuckling this morning. It was one of those typical panic type dreams where you get lost, lose you luggage, have to deal with unsavoury caracters and can't find your hotel :)

This -is- going to be a fabulous adventure, and I'm looking forward to telling everyone here all about it when I get back.

Take care.

Being a Brit it was easy for us when we went to Trinidad from Tobago and back earlier this year its a nice open and clean airport will will have no problem when you come out of arrivals turn right keep walking and you will come to Tobago Express Desk past the food Hall. Have a super Holiday and enjoy.
