Overnighting in Trinidad airport

We are taking the Caribbean Air flight in from Fort Lauderdale and arrival time is 11 pm. Considering sleeping in the Trinidad airport as are flight to Tobago is booked for 5:45 am. Anyone have experience doing so? How late are things open in the airport? Thanks.

It its a fine T&T tradition to spend the night limin' at Piarco. You won't be alone.

Sharon,
i remember seeing SUBWAY open until about midnight, i believe KFC might be the same. There is also a small
bar on the outside (smoker's area) open until late, too.
