We stayed at the Naturalist for the better part of 5 weeks in December and January. The property is wonderfully situated and the rooms are good for the price but the real beauty is in the owner, Ancle who works hard to create a great business and be an asset to his community.
Over the course of the visit we ended up staying in most of the rooms available. All are livable but the second story rooms are worth the money if you are there for any length of time. The balcony overlooking the beach is really great, especially if you want a bit of privacy but don't want to be stuck in your room.
Kitchenettes are a must in Castara if you are there for any length of time as the food choices are pretty minimal.
