My partner & I will be visiting Tobago for the first time in February 2004. I am a learner windsurfer and he is very good. Where are the best places to sail & stay for us both? We are on a limited budget but would like to stay near where is best to sail.

Hi Jackaleen
The most popular place for windsurfing is off Mount Irvine Bay or Pigeon Point (they both basically give access to the same protected waters behind Buccoo Reef).
How "budget" is budget? There's not too much budget choice around Mt.Irvine (it's where most of the villas are situated), so Crown Point will be your best place to look for accommodation, as most places there will be within walking distance of Pigeon Point. Just scan through our accommodation listings looking for places in these areas that suit your pocket and other preferences.
Check out our Sailing (menus: Out & About/Activities) article for names and contact details of a couple of windsurfing services. World of Watersports have a sub-office at Pigeon Point, while Cool Runnings operate out of Mt Irvine. If you're taking a half-day or longer with them, they may even collect you from your hotel/lodgings.
