Tobago International Game Fishing Tournament

Hi All ...especially the fishermen
We usually go up to C'ville for the annual fishing tournament; but I'm a little confused as to when it will be happening this year. The website (as best as I could interpret) indicates one date at the top and another in the news release. I did also read the info on the TIGFT and TTGFA (T&T Game Fishing Assoc.) doing a joint thing this year. Maybe that explains the different dates...help!
Also what about the Marlin Madness at Speyside....would you be able to see any of the action from shore; will they bring the catch in at the pier? Best time to go?
Thanks, Carol

Carol,

the two tournaments are back to back, with one day in between.

TTGFA "Marlin Madness", out of Pigeon Point (NOT Speyside), March 26th to 29th.
TGFT "Billfish Bonanza", Charlotteville, March 30th to April 2nd.
(March 30th is travelling and registration, i believe.)

At the "Marlin Madness" fish has to be presented in Pigeon Point, beach facility. NOT in CONRADO Hotel, where it
used to be some years ago.
The scales usually opens at 4 pm

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Andy,
Thanks for info...especially the location for Marlin Madness. Nothing like being at the wrong end of the island when it happened!
Cheers, Carol

Frank,

i will be in Tobago from tomorrow but unfortunately i have business meetings scheduled and not enough time to fish in the tournaments. I will certainly be there at the scale and the lime and take in the stories of the anglers
