Yes, it is a shame that the whole process can't be done on the plantation. Having said that, the fact that the final process is done by a master chocolatier in France is what makes the real difference, I guess.

As a matter of interest, you can get the Tobago Duane's chocolate at Aquaterra Boutique. Owned by Patrick and Jenny Dankou of Yes Tourism fame, Aquaterra is a new boutique located in the sugar-mill just outside the main entrance to the Grand Magdelana Resort. It is a very up-market boutique offering the very best in local rum, chocolate (temperature and humidity controlled) and teas as well as the best of local art and jewellery. Well worth a visit if you are looking for a quality souvenir or present.
