Bringing a Dog to Tobago

Debby and are seriously considering buying a villa, but we don't want to leave our dog, Adelle, behind. What is the procedure for bringing a dog to the island currently? We have heard several different stories. If there's still a 6 month quarantine, that would make it essentially impossible.

Hi,
contact Dr. Patricia Barrow Smart our Vet.

I don`t think quarantine means sitting in a cage somewhere far from you.

What country are you coming from. To bring a dog from the UK is no problem
as long as you have the necessary vaccinations . No quarantine is necessary but you must notify a vet that you are bringing the dog into Tobago as he will have to be at airport to check the papers.
From some european countries you willneed to take the dog to Trinidad first and it will be kept in quarantine for usually one month. The last dog that came in from Austria was booked in quarantine for 1 month. This needs to be arranged in advance.
