myTobago – your questions, review and comment about Tobago

Hello,

I'm a writer currently on Tobago island for a month and am trying to research the story of Simona Fricker, the Swiss German woman how famously brought HIV to Tobago. Does anyone on this site have information about her story or know someone who does? It's a touchy subject, I gather, so finding out what actually happened has been difficult, so any help would be very appreciated. This would be for a play.

as i recall the story, Simona had contracted HIV from her unfaithful husband (or boyfriend ?), who himself
had contracted the virus in the Caribbean. She came to Tobago to get revenge and bring the virus back where
it came from. How many persons got infected by her is unknown. Some "big" names were going around by that time.
I vaguely remember hearing that Simona was eventually killed in Europe by her estranged husband.
But please don't quote me on that

I wonder, do you perhaps know anyone connected to it?
Perhaps I could ask them some questions.

all i know is hearsay ... i won't repeat what i heard by then because most of that must be
considered bad talk. I don't think you will find somebody to admit that he had sex with that woman.
