Sandy Point Beach Club - Reader Reports & Opinion

This was my first visit to Sandy Point Beach Club. Let me say from the outset , I shall be back. There are a couple things that I did not appreciate. I assumed that the office would have been open early enough for me to hand in keys etc. When I came down about 7.45am there was no one to receive them. The maid took them. When I returned at eight o'clock to discuss my refund , I was told that the Accounts clerk would not be there before 9 o'clock and that was the time I had to check in for my flight.

Next , the list of cutlery, dishes etc that was supposed to be in the room did not reflect what was actually there. I had to call for the maid in charge to verify what was /was not there.

Other than what I mentioned I did enjoy my short stay.

This was the second time that my family and I stayed at the Sandy Point Beach Club. I must say that this time, we noted big improvements. The unit in which we stayed seemed to have been renovated. It was clean and adequately spacious for a family of four. The unit had good, functional appliances, although the televisions could be upgraded, and the AC worked very well. It supposedly holds up to six occupants, but I would imagine that with only one bathroom, it could be tight for six.

There was notably a big improvement in the client servicing. The staff were very helpful, polite, and accommodating.

I remain from giving the highest rating, because of the policies of the facility. The Club offered access to services, such as board games, a "gym", wifi. The issue is that for access to anything, one has to sign up at the front desk, so there is a feeling of being in an untrusting camp environment, as opposed to a resort facilty. We couldn't quite understand the reason for signing for everything, since the materials were not in particularly good condition. For example, the board games were missing pieces, and the "gym" had miscellaneous, old, rusty equipment. There were only two washing machines on the facility and one was not functioning at the time. Finally, wifi access was at a charge, and did not function either. That was recognized, so I was refunded for the wifi charge.

Despite my gripe about the restrictive access to amenities, all in all, it was a very good stay and I would return, although it may not necessarily be my first choice.

We were able to obtain accommodation at this resort which adequately met our needs. We especially enjoyed the convenience of having access to the washer and dryer assigned to our unit. We loved watching the planes coming for landing. July seems to be a wet month and we got away just in time before the heavy rains.

My friends and I had a really fun time, very relaxing.I was disappointed with Sandy Point beach though, it was very "Rocky", a lot of stones, we had to go over to Store Bay and Pigeon Point beach. I like Sandy Point Club facilities, lots to do for all park for the little ones, basketball, tennis, a field to play football, table tennis, swimming pool for all ages (even the little ones) Jacuzzis, for the older was well rounded...I really enjoyed it even though I fractured my ankle in places on their beach playing volleyball on my second-to-last day of my

I do believe though that turned out to be the high light of our entire stay....It was very accommodating in that we really had no reason to leave the compound, their restaurant served daily breakfast, lunch and dinner. They had a mini mart on the compound if one decided to cook their own meals. I didn't like the fact we had to pay for the internet service, seeing we had to pay for everything else and no one really had time for internet anyway, it had so much to

do. I would recommend Sandy Point to my friends.
