We stayed at Leapfrog, part of Toad Hall for our honeymoon in August. The accommodation was perfect and just what we were looking for.The gardens were beautiful with lots of different wildlife and i especially enjoyed watching the squirrel in the mornings.Bedding and towels changed regularly, and the mozzie net and fan above the bed were very welcome.Steve was a great help from our first contact and throughout our stay, giving us ideas where to eat and visit.Would thoroughly recommend Toadhall to anyone planning to stay in castara, thanks for making our honeymoon so memorable Steve, and we will be back.

Hi All.

We have just arrived home after spending two weeks in Tobago, staying in Castara Villas, "Leapfrog" appartment.

From our very first enquiry to our returning home Steve the owner couldn't have provided a better service.Answering any questions we had incredibly quickly in a friendly and professional manner.

On arrival at Leapfrog we were met by "Lookup" the local guy who looks after the properties and assists all the guests when Steve and his wife aren't there. He is a great character and couldn't have been more helpful throughout our stay. Not only did he help with any day to day questions, providing advice and local knowledge but he also took us fishing, shopping to Scarborough and to Charlotteville for a festival.

The accommodation was clean and tidy and well maintained and was plenty big enough for the two of us.The location couldnt have been better in a quite beautiful setting.Castara is a fairly quiet town but because of the rural setting and small beaches is a great place to stay if you want to relax away from the crowds.

Tobago is a beautiful island with friendly people. We would happily go back tomorrow and would definately recommend Castara villas. If you are thinking about going,do it,you wont regret it.

we stayed two weeks at Toad Hall and had a wonderful time. We had some (warm) rain and enjoyed to watch the birds and bats, iguanas and lizzards from the balcony, laying in the hammok and having a Carib or two. :-)

We enjoyed the most relaxing holiday and the hostility of Marcia and Lookup who took very good care of us.

Will definately go there again! Thanks Steve and Rita for letting us live in your house!

This was the sixth time I went to Tobago, but the first time I stayed in Toad Hall in Castara.

From the first contact, Steve was a firendly guy. Every mail was answered quickly and we had the chance to pay via paypal. He arranged a pick up from the airport with Taylors car rental (very good!).

When we arrived Look-Up, the guy who cares about the visitors was waiting for us. The first impression was really good and we had our first beer with some local guys outside the house.

The house is well equipped, the moskitonets are safe around the beds. The kitchen holds everything you need ( a new peeling knife would be good). The bathroom is clean and spacious, you have also hot water for the shower(we did not use it).

In the evening time the veranda is a really nice place, where we hang around a lot of time. You also have a big barbecue grill where we had some excellent fish.

Rita changed our sheets every third day and took care about the cleaniness.

The house is perfect for a couple, or two good friends or a couple with one kid.

You have two small shops. just five minutes up or down the street, where you can buy the daily needs. A little bit more down the street you have a bar where you can buy beer and rum. It is 5 minutes to the small beach in castara (10 minutes back, because then it is up the hill). The busstation is across the street (maybe you are the lucky one who gets the bus).

There are some things in and around the house which are not perfect, but the surrounding and the setting of Toad Hall makes them not so serious.

I would like to say thank you to Steve and especially to Look-Up, he is a great guy and arrange nearly everything for you.

We had a lovely stay at Leapfrog for a week! Everyone was hospitable, and the accommodations had everything we needed to cook our own meals, and live comfortably for the week in Castara. Steve was very helpful and attentive despite being absent from Tobago, any concerns or questions we had he was very quick to respond via email. We planned our trip to Tobago last minute, and it was wonderful they could accomodate and make arrangements for us so quickly. The village, food, residents, beach, restaurants, etc were all positive. Would highly recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Tobago. Cheers!
