David,
sorry that you had no luck this time.
Take a sip from your ''special'' bottle and relax %*}
I'm sure not later than next month you are a lucky winner.

Cheers \:D/

Well done to those winners, unfortunately I don't think I can afford to buy any more tickets as we are saving up now for our holiday!!

How will you know if you've won?

Is it just by email or is there a list somewhere?

Hi Patrick

Winners are automatically emailed by the system when it makes the draw at 3am (GMT) on the first day of the month. In addition to that, the list of winners permanently shown in our Competition pages is automatically updated with the names of the three winners.

To see the list, select 'Welcome/myTobago Competition' from the menus above, then select the tab that says "Winners" at the top or bottom of the page.

Come on folks! We have only issued 12 tickets so far this month and there's only 4 days to go. There are still tons of valuable prizes left to choose from. Where have all the punters gone? Is Anthony Townsend going to win yet again?

Come on guys!!

I know I've been very quiet over the last few months, but you need to get behind this competition. Since I discovered the site, I've supported the competition every month, because Steve does such a great job and I know it takes a lot of time organising a draw like this. I've been very lucky and I hope I haven't put anyone off. The diving prize I won last year was an amazing experience and I can't wait for our next trip. Please please please give it a go this month! It sounds like I've started a 'Stop Anthony Winning Campaign', but I'd rather see the site getting the support it deserves.

Good luck!

Anthony.

Hi Anthony,

like you I used to support this site regulary because what Steve does can't be honored enough. For a while I was just too busy for forums  on the internet but then I found my way back :D And suddenly I had to recognize that it is End of October already... Have to hurry and thank for the reminder! I really need it, because I start forgetting things.... could it be the age?
I won alread (sorry David, maybe I deserve it more :P ) but do a donation not for the prize but for the fabulous work, Steve does!

And if I win a prize in the end maybe it gives me more pressure to save enough money to go back

I hope more people will make a donation to support this site!

Cheers
Gisela

Hello Gisela

I only entered again this month on the spur of the moment - AND WON! So I have got to go back to Tobago now next year, probably the usual time, around September or October. Any chance you may manage to go around then?

Steve

I know I have emailed you about my choice of prize, but thanks again for organising this competition, and to the generous donors. I do hope the money raised enables you to keep this excellent site going.

Thanks again to all

Jo x

Hey Jo 8)

Congratulations to you =D> I was so happy to hear you win! Maybe I win next month but - to be honest - I don't need to win anything to go back. If I can make it I would love to meet you again in Castara in September/October 2008. Just let me know early enough what date you are going.

Congratulations to all the other winners =D> Enjoy your next trip to Tobago.

And David, sorry you don't win but I'm sure it will not keep you away from Tobago

And surely many thanks to Steve for all the work he is doing here for us.

Cheers

Gisela

Hi Folks

Eagle-eyed readers may have noticed that we have two extra prize-winners in the October competition.

As you will know, myTobago was recently transferred to a new server in late October. Well, some brainless idiot who will remain nameless, but who should consider accepting his senior citizen bus pass and have nothing more to do with computers, forgot to cancel the scheduled prize-draw program on the server. So, at 3am on the 1st of the month, two different copies of the same program ran on two different web servers.

You will imagine my consternation when I got into the office and saw two different emails notifying me of six prize winners. As it happens, one name appeared on both lists - my, what a lucky ticket that was. That winner would have assumed he was just receiving a duplicate notification, so no harm done.

However, I naturally felt obligated to honour the other two prize winners as they had already been told that they were winners. Therefore they have been added to the list as 5th and 6th place winners. I thank them for their understanding in accepting that the winners of the 'proper' draw on the new server must take precedence (particularly as the draw on the old server was only from tickets for the first half of the month).

In actual practice, only one extra prize has been awarded. Readers may have noticed that the third place prize for September had 'lapsed'. The winner returned from Tobago just a couple of days before the draw. He does not think he will be able to return to Tobago before the prizes must be redeemed, so has thrown the prize back "into the pot".

So, silly boy will now go and hang his head in shame!

don't hang your head in shame, silly boy...
just means more prizes for more winners....
and the businesses who donated the prizes are happy to give it as far as I know so why worry...
congratulations to all the winners
steph & ali

Lucky for some...

Hi all. I'm the lucky 5th out of three winner in the October draw, and life would be perfect if we hadn't flown out on VS051 in the morning of November 1st! I knew I should have gone and done some laundry and checked my mail :^o but as it happened I washed some socks in the bath, and didn't see Steve's email until I got back last Friday. So, sigh, it appears that we shall just *have* to make another trip to Tobago before the end of next year... alas. :-({|= How shall we cope? :)

Eagle-eyed readers will have noticed that there was finally only one extra prize-winner in the October competition. Having just returned from Tobago, Jonathan has decided that he will not claim his prize.

So, folks, there are still tons of juicy prizes well-worth-having, so roll up, roll up - November is rapidly drawing to a close and there is only five months of the competition left.

Hi Steve

It's looking increasing likely that we won't be visiting Tobago during 2008 and therefore won't be able to make use of our trip on Island Girl.

Rather than waste such a great prize, I'd be grateful if you would put the day-trip back into the prize draw, so that someone else can enjoy it.

My apologies to anyone who may have wanted this prize after I had selected it, but maybe you stand a chance to win in another monthly draw - if you enter :D

I'm sure that it will go to a worthy winner.

Cheers
Steve
