myTobago Prize-Draw Competition 2007

Post by Steve Wooler »

I am delighted to announce the launch of this year's Prize Draw Competition.

The competition will run until the 31st December 2007. Most prizes can be redeemed at any time throughout 2007 and 2008.

Our list of prize donors is a veritable “who’s who” of Tobago business. I only invited participation from the very best tourism-related businesses on Tobago – businesses that I trust and am happy to recommend to readers. More than 90% of the businesses approached decided to participate and have generously donated a prize pool of over 40 prizes worth some £5,000 (approx US$10,000).

The competition is operational NOW. The first prize draw will be shortly after midnight on the 1st June 2007. As usual, we shall draw three winners a month, who will then take their choice of prize from all marked 'available' in the competition prize list. Prizes will be allocated in the order in which the winners were drawn.

The first prize draw will be on 1st June when a total of 6 prizes winners will be drawn from the correctly-answered tickets issued in May and June. After that, we will return to our normal procedure of selecting 3 winners per month until the competition closes on 31st December.

As in last year’s competition, one competition ticket will be issued for each £5 donated to myTobago.info.

So, please allow me to persuade you to show your support for this website and to make a donation and enter our 2006 Competition.

A handful of prize-donors are "off island" or otherwise unavailable at the moment - so expect to see a few more additions to the list over the coming couple of weeks.

So, let's go for it!!!!!

Hi,

Almost there! (Wednesday!)
Does my recent induction into "Friends of Tobago" get me included in this contest, or do I have to donate again?

Thanks!

Hello Annie

Sorry, but cap orders don't qualify for entry into the competition - even if placed after the competition had been launched.

Nevertheless, enjoy you holiday.

Sorry, I thought I had made a donation and as a result received the cap, not ordered it. I will be more than happy to donate again, as your site, and all the people on it, have been so incredibly helpful!!

I'll do it on my next break (I'm at work)!

Thanks again!

I can't believe I've won a prize, I'm so pleased. We can't wait to go on the trip with Kalina Cats next year - any tips on how to get through 9 months when waiting for a holiday in Tobago?

Thank you Steve and everyone involved in the competition, I shall certainly write a review when we return.

David,

Your website is brilliant, a fantastic reminder of Tobago, I've looked at every photograph very slowly and guess what - still 302 days to go! I'd better not start counting down yet.

WOW :!: how amazing it feels to be the 1st prize winner of this years comp. The car hire prize will add a new dimention to my holiday this year. In previous years I have only been able to afford to hire for a couple of days at a time so its going to be great.I have already had very prompt replies from Colin Sheppy with confirmation for my prefered dates so I am planning my trips. Got a wedding to go to so unexpected extra wheels are a bonus, cant stop :)
Thank you Steve for all your hard work.I love the site and I am definately in love with Tobago. =D>
5 weeks and counting.

Come on folks - just 3 days to go before the close of the June competition. It's been a very slack month and we've only issued 20 tickets so far, so your chances are REALLY high of being one of our three lucky winners this month.

I've just made a donation, so fingers crossed for a prize ... I never win anything though, so doubt I'll get lucky ... we'll see! :D

Fingers crossed for you, Carole.

With just a week to go before the close and draw of the September competition, please allow me to shout "Roll up, roll up". To be honest, support for the competition since launch in May has been very slack, with an average of only 30-40 tickets per month being issued, so a) I need your support and, b) you have a REAL chance of winning.

YES !!!!!,
I'm the 1st lucky winner this month :P
My wife and I are happy to have a nice dinner at Cafe Coco in February 2008.
Normaly we like selfcatering, cooking or making barbecue with our many local friends, but from time to time is also nice to have a dinner in a good restaurant. In the last years we had few dinners at Indigo or Salsa Citchen wich was excellent all the time.
Now we have the chance to try out a new place. %*}

Steve,
at this point I have to thank you for your hard work with this wonderful website.
Maybe one day we have the luck to meet you personally in one of our next stop's in Tobago.

Many Regards

Peter Kuhn

I see that Tony's luck is holding out - or is he the one buying 30 - 40 tickets a month

Just goes to show that you have to be in it to win it.

Good luck for the next draw Tony..... though I doubt you'll need it.
Take only photos - leave only footprints. I like that concept.

Good luck to Anthony - he has been a big supporter of the competition over recent months. However, I have to say that the September competition was VERY dissapointing with only 23 tickets issued. Come on folks - all those prizes are more than worthwhile.

Steve,

I am a little confused about the system. (Actually if you read through my posts you will find that I am a little confused about most things but I tend to get there in the end).

If I make a donation now, or at least before January '08, can I use any prize I may win when I am on Tobago in January '08?

I await your usual clear and concise reply.

Tony

Hi Tony

Prizes won in any monthly competition up to 31st December 2007 are redeemable at any time until 31st December 2008 unless the prize description specifically says otherwise (I think that the Excel upgrade and one or two car rental offers are the only ones with date restrictions).

So, yes, you would be able to use your prize during your 2008 holiday.
