My boyfriend and I stayed at Arnos Vale for a week in July. We lived in the one bedroom on the second floor. The owners are truly lovely people, and were genuinely helpful. They came to supply us with clean towels and tidied up the place a couple of times though we were only there a week. Everything was clean and spacious. Our suite had a shower and no tub. Our kitchen came with a variety of clean dishes neatly put away. The cooking utensils were very old but usable. Our unit did not come with basic cooking ingredients, but we asked Victor and Ursline for a few items, and they gladly supplied us with what we needed. The apartment was quite comfortable, with American cable tv and fully furnished. The bedroom/toilet/shower had an AC unit, and the tv area had a rotating fan. Though we were there during the rainy season, it rained mostly at night and we had many sunny days. However, the ocean was choppy and murky so prob not the best time for snorkling and diving. It was our first trip to the Caribbean, so we learned a few things. Although our apartment was spotless, tiny ants will come out of the woodwork if there are any crumbs on the floor. There are hundreds of them, so we learned not to leave food out for any period of time, and not to drop any food on the floor. The apartment is not sealed; many windows are slatted panes, so mosquitoes and other insects may come in but we only saw one big cockroach the entire time, which was pretty good. The bed comes with a mosquito net but i did get bitten at night. We found a can of Off in the pharmacies in Scarborough. Arnos Vale is not far from Crown Point and Scarborough, so it was convenient for us to get around with a rented car. The price for our place was certainly unbeatable. The villages in Tobago really have little to see or do other than beaches, and we would only recommend staying in any of the villages if you have a car.

Stayed for several nights at Arnos Vale apartments and it was a great experience. We had the apartment on the main floor and it was HUGE!! Very clean! Close to everything (although we had a car). Large well-equiped kitchen, nice big bathroom, comfortable bedroom with air conditioning and 2 double beds, and a LARGE living room and dining room. Unbelievably great deal. We even had a little patio with table and chairs. Would be ideal for a family or for 2 couples travelling together or just one couple that enjoys having some space. Victor, the owner, was helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. Was able to do a load of laundry whilst watching a Mot mot in the yard. The upstairs apartments look really gorgeous too. the only downside was the motion-detector security light in the yard kept going on and off throughout the night and it was a bit hard to stay asleep with that going on. Overall, highly recommend staying here!

We only had one week on this Island and our apartment on the ground floor at Arnos Vale Vacation Apartments was perfect. We are keen bird watchers so this location is ideal as it is quite central to the areas we visited with both Arnos Vale and the Adventure Gardens within walking distance. We were treated to spectacular sights of the humming birds and numerous other birds on the feeding stations, go at 4.00pm for maximum numbers. Of course we did not need to go anywhere at all as Victor's beautiful garden is a wildlife sanctuary.
Being independent travellers we loved this place, we hired a car from Victor only for the days we needed it and he could not have been more helpful in pointing us in the right direction and sharing his knowledge of the Island.
The apartment had everything we needed, was clean and spacious and Victor and Ursline were caring hosts who regularly went the extra mile. Even waking us at 1.30 am to watch Turtles on Turtle Beach, unforgetable.
It was the perfect place for us and we strongly recommend it.

My family just returned from a fantastic vacation in Tobago. Victor picked us up at the airport and took us right to the Pennysaver so we could have food for the next day. We also rented one of his cars which was very clean and ran well. Both Victor and Ursline went out of their way to ensure our needs were met and answered all of our questions about the island. They were always willing to chat but never intrusive on our privacy. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved the location as we were a 2 minute drive from one of the best "from shore" snorkeling beaches, close to restaurants etc in Black Rock as well as centrally located for all the other areas we wanted to explore. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a safe and comfortable self-catering apartment.

Nice place in a nice area. Great garden and spacious house. Friendly host and hostess. Beach (Turtle Beach) in just 5 minutes by car. Also Arnos Vale Hotel nearby for breakfast, swimming pool and beach.
