Well from the reviews that i read about james anything would have been above expectaion. my friend and i had already booked and paid for 3 nights at james before i came across this website and i was absoloutley horrified but since we had already paid for the nights we dicided to go anyway. The apartments are average sized cosy and clean, the bathroom was also very clean(a little small but it was clean). It is situated relatively close to the air port but there is not alot of noise to wake anyone when night falls. It was actually sort of cool to see the plans land and take off... I think the only disappointing part about James is that it is not close to the beach (Store Bay). It is very far, i guess thats why they have a car rental service. Hmmm. The pool was average sized and not to deep that was a definite plus for me since i'm not to good of a swimmer and the people staff included was very nice. i guess everyone experience is different. Thought i should let everyone know James is a cool place to stay if you have a vehicle... Did i mention that from on the roof the view is terrific. On one side you can see the beach (store bay) also one of tobago's famous forts and on the other side the air port. Just make sure to go with good company.

James Holiday Resort is located near Crown Point Airport.
It has 24 Apartments, complete with kitchen/dining area, balcony/porch, hot & cold shower, air-condition, microwave, stove, refridgerator, cable-tv, swimming pool, parking facilities and laundry.
Cleaning maids come in and tidy up every day. Towels, sheets, dishes, pots, etc are included.
There is an onsite mini-mart where you can purchase grocery items.

James is a long walk from the airport and the noise is terrible day and night,night club close by and lots of street car racing and bottle breaking.Towels,sheets etc needs to be thrown in the garbage,the owner is not very friendly,best thing about the place is it has a small mini mart and rental cars if needed, but do does a lot of places.

My husband and I stayed at James Holiday Resort at the end of December to the beginning of January.
I would definitely not recommend this accomodation to anyone. Firstly, it is definitely not a resort and the staff are not very friendly merely courteous.
We never received any towels (good thing we brought our own) and the bathroom smelt funny so we had to buy our own cleaning products to clean the bathroom.
The air condition was ancient and made so much noise that you could not sleep. The kitchen was barely efficient the only good thing about it was the fridge. The room is large but it is definitely not value for money.

I selected James Resort and Car Rental out of the yellow pages.
What a MISTAKE. The booking was made over the phone with Carlton (I am assuming he is the owner). I was charged for two adults and a child since my daughter is over five years old.
Made my deposit for two nights out of a four night stay two months prior to my trip at the given bank and bank account no.
Mind you, Carlton will call every minute to be sure that the deposit is made.
The night before my trip I happened to view tripadvisor and i was really not thrilled with the reports of the hotel.That, off course had me a bit concerned.
Upon my arrival, the first thing on my mind was to enquire about cancellations for the unpaid nights. I was then advised that it would cost me a night's rate.I asked Carlton if he usually advises this at time of booking, his reply was, "only if asked".
We were handed our keys and took ourselves up to the second floor with all our luggage.
When we opened the door, to our disbelief the room was small, musky and there was only one queen size bed for the three of us.
Sure this was a mistake I quickly got to the reception desk to clarify with Carlton. He was sure to advise that if i wanted an extra bed i needed to pay 100TTD more. Needless to say I refused to. Without a budge I stood until he finally decided that he would simply refund me the full amount.
I moved over to Surf Side in the same area. They did not have a room available with two beds, however, they moved a single bed over to an available room so that we would be comfortable. They were cleaner and cheaper and more accomodating.
James sure has to change his approach and I promised him that I would tell everyone my story until he does.
