Johnston Apts was the perfect property for our family vacation with our young daughter. The views from the room were fantastic and the property itself is breathtaking. we loved the fact that there was security on the compound 24/7 and that the apartment was spacious, clean and airy. We were happy that it came with a microwave, stove, toaster and a wide variety of crockery, cutlery and numerous kitchen gadgets! Anne Marie was very nice, helpful and friendly and made our trip enjoyable. Johnston's all about location, location, location! It's right on Store Bay with its kiosks with delicious local foods, crafts, local sweets including homemade ice cream and tickets to Buccoo Reef! We would highly recommend Johnston Apts to any traveler to Tobago!

The rooms themselves are a little basic, but clean and spacious. What you pay for are the beautiful views of Store bay and for the beach access to be literally right on your doorstep. I think most people who have stayed here would agree that this is what makes this place special.

A couple of points to bear in mind:

Their website says there is complimentary wireless access within the compound. This is slightly misleading. We were told that the wifi hub is actually at the Crown Point Hotel, next to the Johnston apartments. If you're staying near to the apartment reception, as we were, you won't be able to pick up the wifi from your rooms. This was frustrating for me. Even though it was only a short walk away, you have to be quite close to the hotel to pick up a signal.

It can get quite noisy outside in the mornings and evenings (if you're near the reception). I was woken/kept up by loud music blaring out from a cars outside the apartments. I am assuming these belonged to some of the vendors with stalls near the apartment.

The grounds themselves are well kept and there is secure parking. Steps give you access to the beach, which although busy, is absolutely beautiful. It has perfect sand, with very few pebbles and some shady areas for those who need a rest from the sun. The waves aren't too strong and there's no seaweed. It was one of the few of the more popular beaches to actually serve local food - well worth a try!

Excellent value for money.Two of the best features of this property are 1- it's right smack on the beach and 2- access to the neighbouring facilties at Crown Point hotel.

Grounds are pretty well kept and security make regular rounds of the compound.Friendly and helpful/courteous staff.

There's still much to be desired..but really for the price,you cant really complain..proximity to the beach and pool makes up for alot.

Johnston Apartments, Crown Point.

My wife and spent two weeks here in January 2010 and we found the accommodation to be well equipped, spacious and clean, Ann Marie the manager is a charming and helpful person were nothing is too much trouble. The apartments are ideally situated directly overlooking Store Bay beach offering the same delightful views as the very expensive ‘Coco Reef Hotel’ at a fraction of the price and having stayed there it is our opinion that the accommodation at Johnston’s is better.

The facilities of Crown point Hotel are available to Johnston Apartment guests and overall we would highly recommend Johnston’s.

The ground floor room we had was perfectly situated. The grounds and the room were very clean. The staff friendly. The only complaint would be the lock on our door was damaged and not operating properly. The TV was also quite old. Overall great place for a family with young kids with full kitchen. Excellent location to the beach, food stalls and grocery/convenience stores.
