For families with young children wanting clean, tidy, secure and affordable accommodation located very close to a lovely, safe beach and other amenities you will do well to find better than Johnston Apartments. Rooms were spacious and well equipped, if a tad faded. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Services included daily room cleaning. The sharing of facilities with Crown Point Beach Hotel enabled us to have access to a nice recently refurbished swimming pool, bar and attractive grounds. Our children, aged 8 and 4, absolutely adored it there and we plan to go back as soon as we can afford to get back to Tobago. Rates reasonable too - we paid just over 400 T&T $s per night. Overall much better value than the other accommodation we stayed at in Crown Point (Bananaquit).

Aurora Ali from U.K. visited in February 2006 and awarded  One out of Five

My family and I stayed at Johnston's Apartment at the end of Feb 06 and it was not a memorable experience.

The rooms that were booked and paid for 6 months in advance were not available, and we spent close to 1 hour trying to have this sorted out upon arrival.

My aunt and mother has medical conditions and cannot climb stairs, thus the request for apartment downstairs yet these requests were not met.

We were told if we paid for the apartments they would be available- clearly a sign of disorganisation because we had a receipt for payment in hand.

Secondly, some of us were leaving a day earlier than others and the office manager Ann Marie Yen Chung very angrily stomped across to my aunt's apartment and shouted at her to leave the apartment when her checkout was a day later.

She never apologised for her rude, unmannerly, discourteous, uncouth behaviour.

Clearly she has no idea what customer service means and I can safely say, none of my family members will ever stay at Johnston's again.

On another note: we all observed how nice Ann Marie was to foreigners, but to locals she was a total pig.

Not the fanciest accommodations, but always a winner w/ our family. Great location, comfortable & clean.

The system won't let me submit unless I add more, so am adding this simply to satisfy their system. :)

We enjoyed the facilities. It is suitable for a family that wants to cook and not have to do much travelling. Located right on the beach and across from the airport. We had a great time. Great vacation spot. Very clean and quiet facilities. Friendly people. Nearby restaurants and stores.
