We had a very relaxing and enjoyable four days and wished we had more time at this natural setting on the Castara beach. Ancle and Jodie were very hospitable and personable, they collected us at the airport and made sure our needs were met. For visitors wanting a real island experience the Naturalist keeps you close to nature and life in a village setting with added pleasures of watching the fishermen haul in their daily catch and being able to eat fresh sea food each day - heavenly and revitalising to spirit, body and mind

The Naturalist Beach Resort is a fantastic place to stay in Castara. The room we stayed in (Whale) was very spacious, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The Crow's Nest room where our teenage daughter stayed was fantastic, with its own bathroom, fridge and terrace. This let her enjoy her privacy but kept her close to us too. The rooms were cleaned every day by the friendly, helpful staff, who also provided a clothes laundering service free of charge. Every morning there was a lovely breakfast provided which always included a local speciality eg. stewed pumpkin (yummy!), saltfish or fried plantain. Wifi was reliable and free too.

Ancle, the owner, is a lovely person who went out of his way to help and advise us and to make sure we were comfortable and looked after at all times. He also included 1 day free car rental. The apartments lead straight onto a beautiful beach and the warm water of the Caribbean Sea (in our opinion, the best location in Castara).

All in all, our stay in July 2012 was absolutely fantastic: excellent accommodation; beautiful location; wonderful people; fabulous memories!

The staff very warm an friendly same goes for the people of castara. Mr Ancle always made himself available even if there was a problem he was there to fix it my wife and my son was sad when we had to leave but I promise dem that we'll visit again very soon. So if your looking to get away from your everyday life an just want peace and quite I suggest you visit the Naturalist beach resort. It was well worth the drive

Fantastic quiet setting right on the beach front in Castara. Close to local amenities; bars, restaurants, stalls and fish market for fresh fish everyday. Clean and user friendly rooms with all the appliances of home.

Very friendly and helpful host, always happy to provide recommendations and answer questions.

Although my stay was short it was totally enjoyable. The accommodation was very comfortable; it felt like home and afforded me the kind of relaxation I needed with my usually hectic schedule. I went to bed and woke up with the refreshing sea breeze and sounds of waves. The staff was very friendly and organized a Friday night lime for patrons...I definitely will return for an escape!!
