I stayed at the fantastic Shirma's apartments during my medical elective along with four other students from my university. Shirma and her family were wonderful hosts, picking us up from the airport, taking us to hospital, introducing us to a range of local foods both in Scarborough and cooked up by Shirma herself, taking us to the supermarket and setting us up with a very handy taxi driver Donny! We couldn't have had a better, more relaxing stay - Shirma's apartments were plenty large enough for the 5 of us, and equipped with everything we could possibly need - even the beach no more than 100m away. We would all definitely recommend the lovely Shirma as a host for medical electives, or even for a couple or family on holiday, Bacolet (the apartments location) is a very handy place to stay.

After a series of disappoints in the search for accommodation in Tobago over a long holiday weekend, Shirma's Apartments and Shirma was truly a welcome find... a home away from home.
Surrounded by vibrant blooms of bougainvilleas, Shirma's Apartments is geared for relaxation. You can sit outside and let nature rejuvenate you with its sights and sounds or just lounge indoors in spacious rooms with comfy furnishings and all the amenities you'll need. We even ventured further outdoors, taking a brisk walk around the neighborhood and then cooling down at the beach. Next time I will need to bring my bike!
Although just a short 3 day stay with my daughter to attend a surprise birthday party for my cousin, Shirma kept a watchful eye on her guests. A lovely host with a beautiful spirit. Just from the communication over the phone, I knew we would be adopting a mom when we got to Tobago. Graciously offering to cook a Sunday meal of crab and dumplings when my daughter indicated her wish to have some before leaving Tobago.
I highly recommend Shirma's Apartments at Bacolet Point to anyone seeking some quiet downtime. You will not be disappointed.

We chose Shirma's again for yet another of our get away to Tobago, this time for a friend's wedding. As usual, we enjoyed every bit of it in this warm, peaceful, inviting, and clean retreat-like accommodation. Absolutely no issues and no complaints. Although preparations for the wedding itself were on the exciting/hectic side, it was nice to return to the attractive, relaxing surroundings at Shirma's to unwind and enjoy a mini vacation! Thanks again!

Beautiful and serene ambience; clean, spacious, comfortable, well equipped apartment. Who could ask for anything more? We didn't, but we got a generous serving of warmth and friendliness also!
My girlfriend and I enjoyed every moment of our 10 day stay. It was a joy to sit on the porch in the early morning and watch the gentle sunlight embrace the lush garden and kiss its beautiful blooms.
I'm already planning my next trip and have excitedly told my friends that I've found the perfect place. The next time I would certainly pack less, as every amenity was provided.
Thank you, Shirma, for making our stay a memorable one. A very special thank you for staying up until 2.00a.m to warmly greet us even though our arrival was delayed. I knew at that moment you were a"keeper!"

Staying at Shirma`s really felt like bein home! I could not think of a better host than Shirma. I stayed with her and her lovely family for almost 6 weeks while I was doin my Medical Elective at the hospital in Scarborough.
The apartment offers everything you need and everything you could wish for. It`s very clean, very well equipped, super comfy and very spacious! Plus as soon as u step outside ur door u get to sit in Shirma`s lovely garden which is the prettiest one you will find on Tobago ;)
I can highly recommend staying with Shirma especially to all the Medical students – she will drive you to the hospital every morning and will take you food shopping once a week, which is very handy!! Most of the Med students stay in Bacolet – so everyone is very close by. We always spent our free afternoons at the beach which is only like 7 min walking distance away.
So all in all ....Thank you Shirma for being such a caring host – you really made my stay a memorable one and if I ever come to Tobago again - there is only one place where I would stay ... and that`s with you!
