Top River Pearl - Reader Reports & Opinion
Noise And Staff
here is the owner of Top RIver Pearl, Rainer Tichai.
First of all I want to apologise for the music of the one neighbour. Meanwhile he does not play music loud on a frequent base. As my wife is living there now, we are not accepting this disturbance any more and will draw consquences on him if he starts back.
Also the staff of the cafe has changed and we are now starting to open as a restaurant as well. We have a chef in our kitchen now.
We are doing everything to have your stays at Top River Pearl as nice and convenient as possible.
I hope you are making your own mind and visit us for your holiday.
Safety Depost Box
Does anyone know if Top River Pearl has a safety deposit box? I am a little concerned (not much) about stashing cash since there is not a bank or exchange facility in Charlotteville. I did not read about one in Steve's review. Thanks!
Top River Pearl Vs Rosa's
We are planning a trip to Charlotteville and were planning on staying at TRP but are growning a bit concerned due to the complaints of loud noise/music often seen in this forum. Is this concern founded?
Secodary to this question is if anyone has stayed at Rosa's guesthouse? Could this be a quieter alternative to TRP?
Any other recomendations for lodging in Charlotteville would be appreciated.
Top Floor Or Ground Floor?
As I consider reserving a room at TRP, I had been thinking a top floor room would have more exposure to cool evening breezes. However, then I thought that a top floor room would also absorb much more solar energy during the day, and that a ground floor room might be cooler overall. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Two Weeks At Trp 26 Feb 2005
David Watkins from Bude Cornwall Uk
I stayed at Top River Pearl for two weeks in Jan 05.The accommodation consisted of a bathroom/w.c a small kitchennette and a bed sit room with a private balcony. There is also a communal meeting area and a small coffe/breakfast bar.The staff were very friendly and helpful and the children were charming and polite.I would reccommend the TRP whole heartedly, however I do think that C'ville itself was over rated and is only a day or two stay.
