Gift shop at Coco Reef

Post by Corrin Buxton »

As part of our all-inclusive deal at coco reef we have been given $350 to spend in the gift shop. Does anyone know anything about the standard of the shop - Will we struggle to spend so much money?
Thanks, Corrin

Hi Corrin

Is that US$350 (£225) or TT$350 (£35)?

The Coco Reef has a small range of boutiques and gift shops, so it depends upon which one they are referring to. There are two small shops off the main foyer. They have very limited appeal and prices are, to be frank, exorbitant (see my main review). However, there is then a corridor leading down from the main lobby (leads to rooms, the beach and Bacchanals Restaurant). This has a couple of boutiques and gift shops which have some really lovely stuff. Again, you are paying for the convenience, but the quality is excellent. If the vouchers include these shops, you could be in for a treat.

Hi Corrin
We've just got back from the Coco Reef. Fantastic, (will do a report on our trip when my brain is back in gear) But in the meantime. we also had $250 USD to spend in the two shops, Coco Crafts & Coco Creations. They sell pottery, paintings, jewellery, leather belts, sandals, a few items of clothing etc. Choice is aliitle limited and prices fairly high but it is a sizeable amount of money and we had a wonderful time choosing items and had no difficulty at all spending it.
Best wishes Angela
