Moonlight Mountain is a slice of heaven on top of the green hills overlooking Scarborough. I stayed there for almost 3 weeks and loved every minute of it. I have never felt more at home and relaxed on vacation in my life. Our room had the most beautiful view of the harbor off our balcony on the 2nd floor. The owners are wonderfully nice and friendly and told us all the places to go and arranged tours and taxis for us. I walked down and back to Scarborough almost every other day and enjoyed the fresh air and lovely greenery. Breakfast was wonderful and I could just relax for hours with a cup of tea overlooking the grounds and beautiful Tobago! Perhaps the best place I have ever stayed at and I have traveled extensively around the world and I usually don't go back to the same place twice but I can't wait to stay here again!

I spent three weeks at Moonlight Mountain with Ginny and Kelly and they were some of the best weeks in my life! The house is beautiful, the location is perfect, and the yoga classes were amazing. I have been a practitioner of yoga for over 10 years and really felt that Ginny helped me to re-learn the basic principles. My yoga practice became much deeper and more fulfilling. Kelly's culinary skills are wonderful and we ate plenty of delicious food at their place. He is also known to be very good at Thai massage. Ginny and Kelly are more like old friends now, and are much of the reason that I cannot wait to return to Tobago. The combination of the island, the hosts, and the yoga I am convinced would be greatly beneficial to anyone.

Ginny and Kelly have a wonderful home and gardens, just what you expect a yoga retreat to be! We arrived on Christmas Day and G&K were there at the airport to greet us, along with sorting out our hire car in advance, it could not have been simplier and we couldn't have been better looked after. When we arrived at their home we were lucky in that we had a choice of rooms, as well as the self contained apartment, there are a few to choose from and they are all lovely, comfortable and homely. It's an absolute priviledge to stay in this beautiful home. Kelly's breakfasts and home-made bread and cakes are legendary. Sadly we never managed to get up in time for yoga but hopefully next time. We managed to sight see, play golf and dive. The golf at Mountain Irvine is pretty good although Tobago Plantations is also recommended but we didn't get the chance to play. We would recommend visiting Speyside for the diving at this end of the island (around Little Tobago) is better and the reef more preserved than at the Crown Point end of the Island. We used Aquamarine Diving School and they were very professional, though fairly chilled out but such is the way of the Carribean. If you do visit Jemma's Treehouse Seafood restaurant then do take your own alcohol, particularly if you want to sample the best lobster with it! There are a number of other restaurants and bars which G&K recommend and all are good and reasonable too. Of particular note is the Salsa Kitchen on the major crossroad between Wilson Road and Scarbrough, we had a wonderful Tapas meal there. We would definitely go back to Tobago and hopefully next time we'd manage to get up in time for Yoga!!

I spent the week between Christmas '08 & New Years on Tobago--my first trip to the island. My stay at the Moonlight Mountain guesthouse was very relaxed and I felt very welcomed. I loved my upstairs room. It was nicely detailed and featured a great private balcony (with hammock) that opens up to an unobstructed view of the Atlantic--I kept it open all night to the evening breeze. There were no annoying island sounds or bug problems to disturb my sleep the whole time I was there--I've heard horror stories about insanely noisy birds at many locations, but here it was serene.
I by far prefer the guesthouse format of accommodations above that of hotels or resorts, and I felt that MM provided superior value for my travel dollar. I felt like I was staying some place exclusive rather than at just some glorified Motel 6 room (as most cookie-cutter resorts tend to be). My stay at MM was a memorable part of my trip and not just a clean place to sleep and shower--it is the kind of place you would want to take photos of, and I certainly did just that.
The property is kept clean and tidy, and Ginny & Kelly were looking out for all my needs the whole time I was there, such that I felt quite at home. My bed was comfortable and there were always clean sheets and towels. I enjoyed using their little dipping pool late at night before I retired upstairs to read--very refreshing. I loved breakfast at Moonlight Mountain--Kelly set us up with a tasty, well-balanced morning meal every day: fish, eggs, fresh green salads, fresh fruit & juice and toast. I went scuba diving almost every day, so these morning meals were KEY to energizing my entire day.
Now I feel that I can say I have friends on Tobago, because I was made to feel so welcome. One night while I was there I was invited to a dinner with Ginny & Kelly and another guest couple at a memorable place about a 5 minute drive down the "mountain". A great time was had. My experience at Moonlight Mountain is a big part of why I will return to Tobago some day. Two thumbs up.

Desirous of spending a stress free, peaceful vacation in a scenic, comfortable environment?....... then I recommend MoonLight Mountain as the place to be.
Ginny the proprietor along with her husband Kelly assisted in making my short stay a haven away from home. Ginny was ready and willing to lend a helping hand in any fashion...she even took my bag on depature from the taxi.
Kelly was key in keeping the surrounding clean and the landscaping beautiful and would give vital information about the island.
The room was breath takingly beautiful on entry, the bathroom was clean, the beds well made and the linens and drapes were clean and suitable for the room. The books about the local life were really an added touch.I loved the plunge pool and my 2 new friends Lucky and Honey are such darlings.
Over all everything exceeded my expectation of the accomodation and i would definitely return and hopefully this time practice some Yoga.
