Seaside Garden - Reader Reports & Opinion

We have never stayed in a guesthouse, but I can not imagine a more gracious atmosphere.
Rooms are very comfortable, living room and kitchen kept spotlessly clean and are a good way of meeting other vacationers. The garden is a stunner: poinciana, birds of paradise flower, copo de oro, bananas from your own garden for breakfast.
Concierge is a charming person who helps you locate interesting landmarks and ways to get there.
Location next to the Beach is a great bonus. Swimming at any hour next to the fisherman who make this village work.
Fresh fish for dinner? Visit the local fish market.
Birds of the island? Try the upper patio.
Sunburst music? Sunday night, concert by Buccooneers Steel Orchestra for dancing and drinking.
Do give this guesthouse a try.

Perfect place to stay, we were very well taken care of by Sheldon and Eleonore, bathing at the beautiful and not so crowded Bucco Beach. Dont hesitate, just book.

Travelling on Tobago was very nice experience. Especially to stay in guesthouse Seaside Garden was very great experience. We (Olivia (36y), Leo (41y)and Amelie (6y) travel a lot but we have never seen such friendly and guestoriented management yet. Sheldon who is managing everything in this guesthouse is realy an engel. He is doing his job from heart and fulfill every wish of his guests. He was very helpful from the first minute on Tobago. Sheldon took us up from airport, showed us where we can buy groceries, helped us to arrange a car and many other things. When Olivia got to be ill he draw her to the pharmacy and helped to talk to the right person there und to buy the right medicine. Our dauther talks very often obout walking on the beach with Sheldon and Toby (the dog). She loved to go for a walk with them and Sheldon obviosly liked the time with our daughter too. Sheldon learned her English and Amelie learned him German. It was very funny. In this guesthouse is a nice kitchen available. Olivia learned from Sheldon how to cook caribian dishes. What Sheldon cooked was the best food on Tobago. Very deliciouse! Sheldon is very considerate. E.g. when we made fried eggs for the breakfast and he saw one time that the pan was outworn, next day we found in the kitchen a new one.
The guesthouse has a very well-kept garden, a very nice terasse with the most beautiful flowers and a nice view on the sea. We loved to sit there and to enjoy the breeze of the fresh sea air. We could surf in the internet with our ipad every time when we wanted. The internet connection is very good.
Even when we had to move from the guesthouse because it was fully booked, Sheldon drived us to several another guesthouses and helped us to find where we could stay. After that we came almost every day to Sheldon to say Hello und to talk a bit. Leo enjoyed often massage which was done by Sheldon. Sheldon offers several typs of massage for fair money. There are so many small and great nice things which we experienced in the Seaside Garden. Thank you very much Sheldon for that! We would always recommend this guesthouse. But one thing you must consider if you plan to stay there. It is very loud on Sunday because the Sunday School is accros the street.

Tobago being the sister island of Trinidad where I'm from, really got it's differences. I never thought that the sense of comfort and relaxation would have surpass my expectations at the Seaside Gardens.
You really feel at ease and at rest especially it being my first time bunking out at a guest house. The friendly service, great knowledge and welcoming atmosphere by itself is priceless, would definitely recommend it to anyone. Thanks again Sheldon :)

I have stayed at Seaside Gardens for 2 long weekends in the past month, and will be returning at my first chance!
The guesthouse is a quaint, well designed home in a great location, within a stone's throw of Buccoo. Both of my rooms were clean and modest, with light, cotton bedding and a/c. Be aware that this is a guesthouse- no soaps, shampoos, blowdryers, etc. are provided, although the linens and towels are. There are refrigerators for guest use, a fully equipped community kitchen, and plenty of outdoor tables on the patios and in the garden. It is lovely to just sit and watch the birds and lizards for a morning!
Sheldon, who lives on the property, is an amazing host. He has the unique ability to make you feel a bit like extented family- welcome, and cared for. Although very busy, he took the time on both of my trips to help me extensively with travel issues. He also is a wonderful cook, and if he has the time, he will take you to get fresh fish and help you prepare it! It is above and beyond the call of his "duties", and his love of people and kind spirit shines through. He is also a wonderful massage therapist, and I highly recommend you book him when you book your stay!
If you are looking for a relaxing, low key weekend without the hustle and bustle of Crown Pointe, this is the place to go!
