Breath taking view, amazing service and decor is out of this world. The restaurant service was very good but the food was like 90% satisfactory. But everything else made up for it...I'd love to go back here again soon.

We stayed at the Bacolet Beach hotel in February 2011. It looks stunning and some aspects are good but some are certainly not 4*.
We had problems on our arrival and were initially put into their sister hotel, Half Moon Blue, as they said they were fully booked. We were not at all happy with the inferior accommodation and after asking them to find us another hotel the next day they miraculously found us a room. It was fine apart from a very strong smell of drains and torn see-through curtains.
The staff (with the exception of breakfast) were helpful and cheerful. There was a distinct lack of management which led to poor service and organisation at breakfast. The beach was never cleared and backed by old furnituer, wood and rubbish. We only saw the assitant manager in evidence twice, once when we complained and once when she came back to us. We never saw the manager.
Sun beds were never put out or cleared of the water and sand from the overnight rains. However, the Beach Bar was run by 2 delightful and helpful chaps and was probably the best part of the hotel.
Food in the evening was good and the service much better than the morning but it was overpriced (although not as expensive as most of the other restaurants on the island.)
We were unlucky enough to have bad weather for 7/10 days of our stay and this did colour our view of the island.

We decided to stay at Bacolet Beach Club for our honeymoon and we have absolutely no regrets. The staff, food and room were great and we have no complaints.
Even though we had a jeep included in our package we really did not have to use it cuz we had everything needed in the hotel: a great restuarant, a lovely rustic beach bar, great views that you could get lost in for hours and a delightful beach (which at first looked a lil rough but was quite the opposite when you get in).
We would recommend Bacolet Beach Club to any of our friends/ family in a heart beat and cant wait to return for our first anniversary :)

We have recently returned from a wonderful and relaxing stay in beautiful Tobago. We spent a fabulous 2 weeks at the Bacolet Beach Club staying in a junior penthouse. The room was a great size with a HUGE four poster bed which was extremely comfortable! We had a super balcony which looked out onto the Atlantic Ocean and the hotel's own private beach. The hotel itself was beautiful and very peaceful, a little out the way but this wasn't a problem with taxis and car hire. The service we received from all staff was second to none, with nothing being too big a hassle. The pool was lovely, and we had it to ourselves most of the time, and there are plenty of loungers and parasols in order to shade from the sun. There is an extremely steep staircase which leads down to the beach bar and the beach. Not a problem as long as you take your time. Breakfast every morning was always pleasant with a variety of cooked and fresh food to choose from. We really enjoyed dining/drinking at Cafe Havana, if it was a little on the dear side. Having said that, we felt a lot of places were expensive this year compared to previous years' visits.
We chose Bacolet as my sister was having her wedding there, and apart from the weather, we couldn't have asked for a better day. Many thanks to everyone at BBC for making our stay so pleasant, and my sister's wedding such a special day. We would definitely return in the future.

Delightful check in-
upgraded to their largest suite, which was great.Bathroom fittings a little tired.Large hole in the pool floor which had no real adverse effect but not really what you expect?
Nice beach with expensive rum cocktails.
Overall a very nice hotel............HOWEVER........Entirely our fault, and please anyone who reads this take care NOT to do the same, but I inadvertedly left the room safe open on one day.We were very relieved to find on our return, after a cursory look, that nothing appeared to be missing, wallet, passports etc still there, but on check out 3 or 4 days later my signet ring ,which was DEFINITELY there earlier had gone.
As I couldnt pin point the exact day,and we were leaving within the hour,I asked to be contacted once they had had a good look, explaining the sentimental value. After 2 days or so I hadnt heard anything so emailed a reminder to be told they hadnt found anything.
So not quite the service you would expect from a hotel with this price bracket, and although I am making NO accusations,it left a nasty taste in our mouths and we will NOT be going back to that hotel.
