Could any one help us on places to go and see. Were into horse rdding and walking, has any walked in the rain forest would luv to know what that was like. And is it safe to hire a car and drive around sight seeing. I have heard it is safe there walking around at night, has any one had any problems. Would luv to hear about any good and bad experiences

Accommodation overeall wan't bad - it was just the attitude of the staf who I found at tmes were rude, to the point that i actually complained to the manager. Food was disappointing, pool area basic and garden room (suite) overlooked a tiny bit of garden, no view whatsovere and was a haven for mosquitos. Also, on the day of our departure we had great difficulty in securing a room so that we could check out later in the day, despite having a baby. I would not recommend Tobago (Coco Reef) as a relaxing or enjoyable holiday destination.

My husband and I have visited Coco Reef every year since our first trip to Tobago in 2001. Having been to a number of other Caribbean islands we totally fell in love with Tobago and the great atmosphere of this hotel. The staff are amazing - always remembering us from previous years which immediately made us feel at home. Sadly my husband died early in 2007 but needing a break from everything I decided to return alone to Coco Reef in May 2008 and how glad am I that I did so. The staff made sure I was 'looked after' and although I did eat by myself some days I also made new aquaintances with whom to dine at all times of the day which in turn gave me new memories to reflect on. In 2009 I am returning yet again with my daughter and teenage grandchildren to enjoy the delights of Coco Reef yet again and they too are looking forward to snorkling and relaxing at this wonderful resort.

They strolled about the dining room as if they were home (they probably were)!
When I complained to the waitress she said that the tourists like to feed them. This obviously meant screw those who did not. The best part of the stay was the petal decoration on your bed as you arrive and on the day you leave. The food was mediocre and with small portions and you could wait for an hour before getting anything to eat.
