Crown Point Beach Hotel - Reader Reports & Opinion

Crown Point Beach Hotel has very beautiful, scenic surroundings enhanced by a view of the sea. I was lucky to get a room on the top floor which was ideal for a panoramic view of this scene but which was a bit tiring to get to with all that walking from the reception room. This might not be too pleasing to elderly persons. In addition, all rooms are not so ideally placed. However, this view can be enjoyed by everyone from the beautifully kept grounds which favour interesting little jetty nooks very close to the water.

If you like sea-bathing, Store Bay is a little walk from the grounds and down some steps and there you are! It's one of the best waters for swimming.

Although the sleeping quarters are not outstanding, I was comfortable and was also able to access the internet easily. Although the kitchen area is very small, the bathroom is reasonably spaced and always clean. However they are too much in close proximity of each other which can be unhygienic. On the whole, my holiday was relaxing and enjoyable. I also enjoyed a game of table tennis with my daughter.

I would like to stay there again.

Crown Point Beach Hotel offered a lovely view of store bay. The grounds were well kept making it a clean environment and beautiful for picture taking.

However, the service at reception was a bit disappointing. Whilst making enquires, the persons at the desk weren't very friendly and welcoming.

The rooms were cleaned but basic amenities weren't available in the room. When I informed the front desk, the individuals seemed to not be on work hours yet, so they told me to 'check back'.

There was one person in the restaurant who accomodated us after closing hours which was very considerate and thoughtful.(I'm not sure if the hotel staff and the restaurant staff are the same though.)

We had an overnight stay at the Crown Point Beach Hotel. We arrived early and a room wasn't ready for us, however the Reservations Supervisor, Ms. Vidya Balgobin, came to our rescue and she secured a wonderful ocean front cabana for us complete with a crib for our baby. She made us feel really special and addressed ALL of our concerns. WE had a wonderful time in a clean, and well maintained facility. Thank you sooooo very much. I highly recommend this resort!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. Location was ideal. Staff including Security were courteous and professional. Pool side bar and snack service was very good. I would have rated extremely satisfied but my first impression at the reception desk left a lot to be desired.

I stayed at the Crown Pointe Beach Hotel for 5 nights. The pluses for this hotel are:

- Convenient location. It's adjacent to the beach at Store Bay, which has several small eating establishments. Store Bay is very popular and you should plan to get there by noon if you want to get an umbrella/chaise rental. Many boats depart to Buccoo Reef and Nylon Pool from this beach. The hotel is also within walking distance of the airport and various restaurants.

- Excellent view of the ocean.

- There is a restaurant in the hotel.

- Very friendly and helpful staff.

Minuses are:

- Although the rooms are clean they aren't modern and need updating.

- There are no safes in the rooms.

- Internet wifi is free however the signal is weak and basically requires you to go to the lobby to obtain a signal.
