Grafton Beach Hotel has great potential to exceed its present status.I was disappointed with some negatives conditions.
First impressions are
Shabby upholstery in the beautiful lobby, cushions were old worn and dingy.
Buffet prices were too expensive, very small selection on buffet menu.
Guest prefer to buy food and alcohol from other restaurants and stores, which they brought back to the hotel and ate in the lobby.
Bath and beach towels were limited, shabby, dingy and javex stained when available.
These are the positives.
Impressed with the property, the rooms were well kept, the outdoor property is beautiful. My ocean view room was panoramic anf fantastic.
Love the quiet and peaceful location. will return to stay.
Love the staff, some were amazing.
Suggestion revised your food prices and also try to attract your locals to have lunches and dinner with friends and relatives, this can be great for beautiful Grafton beach hotel.
I noticed that the locals are spending lots of money on fast food restaurants, such as Church fried chicken and Pizza boy,
Please adjust your prices and you will attract the local people of Tobago to your beautiful hotel. tourismn is also for the people of Tobago.
Too much of the buffet food is returning to the kitchen, resulting in wastage, loss of money and labour cost.
Overall Grafton Beach Hotel is Beautiful and all the negatives are an easy fix.
Tobago is a beautiful, lushful,vibrant,unspoiled.
Love Tobago and the residents.

My wife and two sons stayed at the Grafton for one week at the end of October we had interconnecting rooms one with king size bed and the other with two doubles the rooms were very clean with sea views but dated, the hotel was very very quiet which suited us as we just wanted to relax for the week the staff were very nice and helpfull apart from the odd couple who spoilt it for us, the bar manager was very rude to me one day when I asked if we could have a snack for our sons because we had missed lunch I was told lunch had finish and if we wanted a snack we would have to pay for it even though we were all inclusive. all inclusive at this hotel is three meals a day and nothing else inbetween!! which is ok with unless you miss lunch, they do offer afternoon tea (two finger sandwiches and cake) but you have to ask for it, it's not listed on any menus.
There should be non motorised water sport included and a dive shop but it was all closed down the hotel offered us a island tour for the day as compenstion which we took it was a very good day out. The beach bar was closed for two days but we had lunch there when it was open which was good,The resaurant staff were ok but Beneita was very helpful at breakfast.
Overall we had a very good relaxing week and enjoyed Tobago, we would probably go back to this hotel but we will definitely go back to Tobago.
Joe.

The whole atmosphere is very relaxing. The staff was also helpful with our luggage and pointed out where everything was. Hotel is in black rock away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city of scarborough. The hotel is not on the beach but only a small road separates the beach from the hotel. Our vacation was short and it rained a little bit, but next time we’ll be staying there longer!

Thw Grafton was reasonably priced at a time when hotel rentals are pricey - Carnival. The hotel exterior, grounds are in need of a facelift and some overall sprucing up. Customer service is incredibly slow, even by Caribbean standards. We travelled with little ones but dinner at the in-house restaurant begins at 7:00 pm, after the sun sets so you don't have the benefitof relaxing and enjoying the beautiful sunset while enjoying dinner. The pool closes at 6:00 pm so after a hectic day of sightseeing, when you return to the Grafton there is little opportunity to enjoy the pool, which is quite nice. Our rooms were clean, beds comfortable so while the above situation was a pain, the hotel suited our purpose, for the money we wanted to spend. However, the next time we visit Tobago it might be better to spend a bit more to get better service, updated amenities/rooms and a better atmosphere.

Stayed at Grafton for the second time with my kids. Rooms were clean, service was OK. Breakfast met my expectations. The adult pool was clean, however the jacuzzi was not so clean. My only issue was that the guests in the next room chose to smoke (smelt like marijuana) on the balcony and the smoke travelled into the room in which I was staying. This hotel has a no smoking policy. I reported it to front desk, however I do not think they did anything about it.
Nevertheless I have no hesistation in returning to the Grafton.
