It was a beautiful hotel and the room we had was very nice and overlooked the ocean.
We were a little disappointed in the quality of the food. The service personel did not seem to be very happy. That being said, we were disappointed at the quality of service by the staff.
We did have a nice stay and would return.
Sincerely,
Richard & Janice Lamar

Appalling holiday, facilities - pool bar/fish restaurant unavailable. Food ran out at meals, very little 'real' cooking, indifferent staff. Boxing Day only food available in the evening at the beach bar - this ran out.On another occasion for the evening meal the plates ran out. Restaurant opened late, full menu range of food not offered. Return to the hotel to find all facilities - bars closed - only service available on the beach. Virgin Holidays moved all their guests out within two days of their arrival. Would not recommend this hotel to anybody under any circumstances

What a wonderful place to go. Tobago is a fantastic island and full of lovely friendly people.
We were a little nervous about the Grafton after reading some of the reports, but none of the negative were justified.
After leaving a freezing Gatwick airport in October we were greeted with great warmth, not just the climate but the people too.
The Grafton Beach resort was a great family hotel, the waiters and waitresses were all so wonderful with our children aged 10 and 5, in particular the 5 year old. I think the hotel manager, Carlos, did over and above to make sure everyone was happy, especially the children.
The rooms were maybe on the small side with not a lot of storage space but were clean and bright and after all we were only in there to sleep at night so were more than acceptable.
Tobago was particuarly quiet during the time we were there which made the pool area extra special, always shade and sunbeds available! The only disappointment was the pool swim up bar was never opened during our stay, but then I think the hotel was half empty for the majority of our time there.
All in all we had a fantastic time and I would seriously consider going back - if there weren't so many other places in the world to visit! - If you want a very laid back, relaxing and friendly holiday, I would strongly recommend the Grafton.

Good for the price.food original and they tried to make things a bit different to avoid the monotonus "buffet". they do seem to have a problem with the availability of beach towels.at peak periods they were never available and no one appeared to know when they would arrive.

After reading some not so great reports on the Grafton we were pleasantly surprised once we got there. Some people are never happy!!! It is a lovely hotel, great location, friendly staff. Everyone and everything in Tobago is laid back so don't go if you want everything 'now'. It was a fantastic, relaxing break and the hotel has everything you need, island tours, taxis, internet access. The rooms were cleaned daily and the girls came round every night to turn down the beds! Food was good, especially at Neptune restaurant over the pool. Although a few areas could do with some TLC the hotel itself is lovely and has a great atmosphere whether you are young or old. Great views from the main restaurant/bar area. We had a sea view room which was really nice but I think most of the rooms actually saw some of the sea. If I was to return to Tobago I would definately go back to the Grafton. Really good value for money, just don't go expecting lavish style. It's clean, friendly and the foods good.
