Although a bit of a walk from the Airport/Beach, not too far to complain or work up an appetite. I was delightfully impressed with the level of service, the cleanliness of the rooms and facilities and the very cosy (and well kept) swimming pool. The rooms are small and basic, but comfortable for a couple who is looking for a quiet place to rest after a fun day, or friends who are looking to relax after their adventures. I would recommend it to anyone who is on a small budget. The breakfast and food options are lovely as well.

I never actually got to stay at this accommodation - I emailed them several time requesting availability for a week in June 2008 but received no responses so I was forced to book with someone else. It would have been curtious to send a response even if the hotel was fully booked.

I stayed here with my 6 month old daughter and my brother who was visiting from Australia. We made a last minute booking (like 10 minutes before hand) and Linda and Paul were extremely accommodating.
They offered us a choice of rooms all of which looked in very good condition - clean and tidy and with an outlook over the pool.
We opted to stay in a family room (double bed and single bed with ensuite) and there was room for a small pop up travel cot. The room was very clean and tidy and had two chair and a small coffee table. The air con was great and there was even cable TV!
The highlight though was the lovely pool and the fantastic breakfast we had the next morning.
This place is a fantastic stay for the price and location and of course lovely hosts! Will be most definately returning!!!

My husband and I spent the first several nights of our anniversary at the Hummingbird. The room was very clean, the pool perfectly inviting and refreshing, and the food provided by Hummingbird's owner Paul was impressively delicious and reasonably priced. We enjoyed his knowledgeable, relaxed, and non-invasive hospitality and he was happy to advise us when asked various questions as it was our first visit to Tobago. We had some issues confirming our reservations on-line and I am not quite sure why they occurred as we had thought we had confirmed reservations weeks out and then learned days out that we did not! Nonetheless everything was resolved prior to our arrival and we were relieved to find we were expected when we did arrive by late ferry and taxi. We were a little disappointed with the fact that our room allowed for little but sleeping in terms of space or furniture but we did have a balcony area (too hot to sit out during the days however) and we did enjoy the lovely pool in the afternoons. Hummingbird Hotel is perfectly situated for people who want to be close to the airport, close to the beach, close to the town, and don't mind the traffic associated with all of the above! We did sleep each night to the accompaniment of incessant roosters and I was fantasizing ways of silencing them by the end of our stay, but for the less sensitive sleeper the Hummingbird provides a clean, convenient and easily accessible accommodation.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this mom and pop motel... while the rooms are quite basic, the warmth of the staff, the pool, and the fantastic dinners are more than worth it. Not to be missed are the "beefalo" steaks... awesome! The location is perfect as well...off the beaten track, but very near the airport. If you are not pretentious, you will enjoy this place.
