On Christmas day we went up to Speyside to stay at the Speyside Inn and dive there for two days. The Inn is the epitome of backpacker accommodations at a luxury price. Housekeeping left us only one towel when they cleaned the room. There were cobwebs on the ceiling. And while the Inn itself was bad enough, it could not hold a candle to the restaurant.
The restaurant at the Speyside Inn has to be one of the worst restaurants in the world. The food was terrible to the point of being inedible. The prices were extremely high for what we received. The staff was unfriendly, uncaring, and exceedingly slow. They really seemed put out that there were customers at the bar when we arrived.
Tanja and Adrian work very hard to make the dive shop and resort work. They were friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. The pace they are keeping will assure that they burn out very quickly. They simply cannot make the Speyside Inn work without support from staff which they absolutely do not have.
If we could go back and stay in Speyside again, we would definitely stay and eat at Blue Waters Inn. The prices for both accommodations and food were almost identical to Speyside Inn’s, but Blue Waters staff was a lot more pleasant and the rooms a lot more luxurious. In all, Speyside Inn is nowhere close to a good value for the price even in that very small market.

We spent 6 days at the speyside inn resort and we recommend it. We were warmly welcome by Adrian at the airport. Our room was very clean and spacious. We found the dive masters to be very professional and friendly. The food was quite good as well.

This simple but convenient hotel is a great place for divers. The office of the very professional Extra Divers is based on the premises of the hotel.
The rooms are nice, very clean and well equipped, all with waterfront view. The restaurant is excellent.
There's a beautiful garden and pool area and the road in front doesn't disturb at all (almost no traffic)
Speyside Inn seems a bit expensive compared to other places on the island, but that applies actually to the whole place of Speyside (restaurants, etc). Still, we think it was worth the money!
We enjoyed our stay and can recommand it without hesitation.

Our brief stay at the Speyside Inn was nice. The room was really nice, with a nice view of the ocean, and convienent to the beaches and town. Staff was nice and helpful. Compared to other places we stayed on the island, the price was high.

It was a excellent and unforgetable holiday! Not only for divers - but for divers its supersuper: Beautiful trips (also to "JamesBond"-Island!) with very good guides and perfect equipments! The Hotel Speyside Inn is a nice and flowerful place to relax and with two lovely bars where you meet people from everywhere. And also the divemasters are there, and you can speak about your dive exkcursions and about fishes, fishes, fishes... Stop; the biggest fish is YOU. The staff helps to enyou your holidays round the clock. There is a headhouse with twinrooms and a few little houses (rooms with kithenette) for family or small groups. Round the houses you smell, you touch and you will like the pure rainforest, and in the middle a small pool.
Yes, you feel like in paradise!
The staff in the hotel and in the diving scool is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean (thanks to the girls who cleans every morning with big power!) and also a bing thank tho the ladies in the kitchen: I guess, they cook with magic hands - loved their different meals on the terrasse near the sea. And with me flew mre kilos back switzerland (mea culpa!) ...
I will come back to the speyside Inn, and im sure, that my friends will come with me the next year. They saw my fotos from my holidays and said: What a beautiful island, what happy tourists on the pictures - and we have not been there?! Also, come on, guys and girls! Explore tobago and the best hotel on place: Speyside Inn! I hope I'll met you!
