RSR Blue Crab Restaurant
Main & Robinson St, Scarborough
Located near the RBC Royal Bank. Lunches only. Good local cuisine
RSR Cafe Havana
Bacolet Beach Club, Bacolet Bay
Once noted for good catering. Excessively high prices with 'hidden' VAT and compulsory service charges. We left our meal uneaten in 2014. Spaghetti from a tin with bottled sauce. Overcooked rice with uncooked prawns. Made all the more insulting by a total cost of TT$540 (soup plus daily special, for two, with a coke and a beer).
RSR Cafe Mia
Hibiscus Drive, Lowlands
Italian owner, Marcello, and his Trinidadian wife, Indra, are an affable duo with just the right manner and approach. They seem to be doing a grand job providing authentic, simple, Italian dishes at very affordable prices from café-type premises just off the Claude Noel Highway near the Mall. Open daily from 10am to 10pm and Sunday 5-10pm.
RSR Ciao Pizza
Burnett Street, Scarborough
Ciao Pizza shares the same management as Ciao Café, next door and shares the same excellent reputation. Ciao Café offers genuine Italian pizzas baked in a brick oven by a master pizza-maker from Naples. Table service or take-away. Garden area plus large function room availabile. Open Wednesday-Sunday, 4-9pm.
RSR Magdalena Grand Beach Resort
Tobago Plantations, Lowlands
The Magdalena Grand Beach Resort has two main restaurants; one offering a buffet service, the other fine dining. There are also a couple of bar serving bar snacks. Open to non-residents from 7am.
RSR Salsa Kitchen
Pump Mill Road, Scarborough
Venezuelan-style tapas and fresh pizza. Interesting local setting. Best experienced in parties of 4-6 people sharing a variety of different dishes. One of our personal favourite restaurants. Service can be very slow as all food is prepared and cooked completely from fresh. Open Tues-Sun 6pm-11pm. Advance booking essential.
RSR Shutters On The Bay
Blue Haven Hotel, Bacolet
Hotel restaurant open for dinner to non-restaurants. Very high quality except when the restaurant is under high pressure. The restaurant has suffered from a poor reputation over recent years, but changes in management and chef at the end of the 2006 have produced a radical change. Hotel prices. Open every day from 7pm to 10pm.
RSR Canoe Bay Resort
Open mid-morning to late afternoon. Very limited choice of light snacks. We have found the beach bar staff to be highly unfriendly and inhospitable.
RSR Ciao Cafe
Burnett Street, Scarborough
Café serving 24 flavours of genuine Italian home-made ice cream, plus the BEST 'proper' espresso and cappuccino on Tobago. They also do light meals like pizza and pasta dishes. Great place to sit and watch Scarborough life pass by. The best reason to visit Scarborough. Open Mon-Sat from 8:30am to 10-11pm; Sunday 5pm-10pm.
RSR Shore Things Cafe & Craft
Milford Road, Lambeau
Lovely bright cafe with a cosy sea-view veranda. Ideal for lunch, or as a coffee break. Fresh bread, salad, whole wheat pizza, decadent desserts plus local crafts. Our personal favourite lunchtime retreat! Open Monday to Friday, 11am-6pm and 11am-4pm Saturday.
RSR Chef's BBQ
Fast food outlet. Few reports, but reckoned to be better than their Crown Point outlet.
RSR Church's/Pizza Boys
Carrington Street, Scarborough
Chicken fast food. No reports.
RSR KFC Restaurants
Milford Road/Wilson St, Scarb'oro
We have received many reports of dirty washrooms and toilets, which are located immediately adjacent to the kitchen. Open Sat-Thu 10am to midnight, Friday 10am-2am. Not recommended!
RSR Real Jamaican Jerk
41b Burnett Street
The Real Jamaican Jerk is a take-out and dine-in restaurant in Uptown Scarborough. The restaurant serves Jamaican and local cuisine. Open Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm; Friday 11am - 6pm; and Saturday 11am to 3pm.
RSR Royal Castle
Wilson Road, Scarborough
Fried chicken and chips, fish and chips and other fast food. Open Sunday to Thursday 10am to 10pm; Friday and Saturday 10am to 1am.
