We would have been very impressed if it weren't for the hidden VAT and compulsory service charges (with tip still expected) which hugely inflated the final price. Not the after-taste we hoped for! — — — — Italian RSR Cafe Mia Hibiscus Drive, Lowlands Tel: 683-6909 Italian owner, Marcello, and his Trinidadian wife, Indra, are an affable duo with just the right manner and approach. They seem to be doing a grand job providing authentic, simple, Italian dishes at very affordable prices from café-type premises just off the Claude Noel Highway near the Mall. Open daily from 10am to 10pm and Sunday 5-10pm.
— — — — Pizzeria RSR Ciao Pizza Burnett Street, Scarborough Tel: 635-2323 Ciao Pizza shares the same management as Ciao Café, next door and shares the same excellent reputation. Ciao Café offers genuine Italian pizzas baked in a brick oven by a master pizza-maker from Naples. Table service or take-away. Garden area plus large function room availabile. Open Wednesday-Sunday, 4-9pm.
— — — International RSR MuscoVado Tobago Plantations Golf Club Italian food in a casual Caribbean atmosphere. Good value and friendly service in a pleasant environment. New bar and restaurant at the Tobago Plantations golf course clubhouse.
— — — — Tapas RSR Salsa Kitchen Pump Mill Road, Scarborough Tel: 639-1522 Venezuelan-style tapas and fresh pizza. Interesting local setting. Best experienced in parties of 4-6 people sharing a variety of different dishes. One of our personal favourite restaurants. Service can be very slow as all food is prepared and cooked completely from fresh. Open Tues-Sun 6pm-11pm. Advance booking essential.
— — — — International RSR Shutters On The Bay Blue Haven Hotel, Bacolet Tel: 660-7400 Hotel restaurant open for dinner to non-restaurants. Very high quality except when the restaurant is under high pressure. The restaurant has suffered from a poor reputation over recent years, but changes in management and chef at the end of the 2006 have produced a radical change. Hotel prices. Open every day from 7pm to 10pm.
— — — — International RSR Surf N' Turf Bamboo Walk Hotel, Hampden Tel: 631-8840 The Surf N' Turf specialises in steak and seafood. The restaurant moved from Pigeon Point Road to the Bamboo Walk Hotel, adjacent to the rear of the Tobago Plantations golf course. Knowing the owner's high standards, it was no surprise that we have enjoyed every meal. Website: www.bamboo-walk.com

— — — — Local/International RSR Canoe Bay Resort Canoe Bay Open mid-morning to late afternoon. Very limited choice of light snacks. We have found the beach bar staff to be highly unfriendly and inhospitable.
— — — — Italian RSR Ciao Cafe Burnett Street, Scarborough Café serving 24 flavours of genuine Italian home-made ice cream, plus the BEST 'proper' espresso and cappuccino on Tobago. They also do light meals like pizza and pasta dishes. Great place to sit and watch Scarborough life pass by. The best reason to visit Scarborough. Open Mon-Sat from 8:30am to 10-11pm; Sunday 5pm-10pm.

Fresh bread, salad, whole wheat pizza, decadent desserts plus local crafts. Our personal favourite lunchtime retreat! Open Monday to Friday, 11am-6pm and 11am-4pm Saturday.
— Local/International RSR Tino's Bar & Restaurant Wilson Road, Scarborough Tino's Bar & Restaurant is located in Wilson Road, Scarborough, and consists of two bars (one internal, with air-conditioning, one outside under cover) and a main restaurant on the upper floor.

— — — Chinese RSR East Ocean Restaurant Breeze Hall Mall, Milford Rd, Scarb. Average Chinese restaurant - everything fresh and fast, but not inspiring. Very cheap, every day lunch outlet for locals. It is alleged that there may be food hygiene issues here.
— — — Local/Creole RSR Eddies Dutch Fort Road, Scarborough Located near the port. Local food - rotis, busupshot, bakes, fish, chicken, pork, goat. Open all day. Very clean and inexpensive. Lunchtime specials from TT$18. BBQ Friday evening TT$25. Eat in or take away. Very popular with locals so you may have to queue.
— — — Chinese RSR Jatt's Harbour Wok Milford Road, Scarborough Very good value for money and OK for the budget traveller. Popular with locals for lunch. Terrible "praise the Lord" music and tips on how to run your life on the walls.
— — — Fast Food RSR KFC Restaurants Milford Road/Wilson St, Scarb'oro We have received many reports of dirty washrooms and toilets, which are located immediately adjacent to the kitchen. Open Sat-Thu 10am to midnight, Friday 10am-2am. Not recommended!
