Our party, and friends staying elsewhere, were delightfully surprised when we arrived at the villa! Not only beautiful but clean and well furnished above all expectations. Coming from the states we were a bit apprehensive about renting sight unseen but we couldn't have made a better decision. I would be happy to refer others here, in fact, we met a couple on the way home from out east and we gave them the address of the villa owners! We would be happy to answer any questions from people interested in renting this villa. Now, we need to find an occasion to return!
Our daughter had intended to get married at the Arnos Vale Waterwheel but they changed plans and were married in front of the pool and had the dinner at Arnos Vale.

Iíll use one word to sum up our stay at Kapinjala - Paradise!
The beautifully designed and furnished house rests on a hilltop overlooking one of the most sheltered bays with great snorkelling. The house itself is stunning with more than generous room sizes (all en-suite) with a magnificent master bedroom with itís own four posted bed overlooking the sea. The views from the pool and the bedrooms are spectacular. The house (with its own housekeeper) provides hotel living. And if thatís not enough a welcome dinner of local cuisine is ready and waiting on your arrival.
You have to explore the island and the island life. In doing so you can find a Lobster diver who will fish for fresh Lobster! Grilled on the BBQ with garlic butter is just delightful. Time it right and you will also see giant Leather Back Turtles giving birth to 100 eggs. Something just amazing and rare to see.
Visit Nylon Pool by boat and have a BBQ lunch on a deserted island. The water is crystal clear. It has to be one of the most stunning place Iíve ever visited Ė a place a man could propose to his future wife!
We stayed 10 nights and we were reluctant to leave the villa as it had everything we needed and wanted. The occasional shopping trip (by car) and boat trip (picked up from the bay below) was quite enough excitement.
We loved it so much we have booked to spend two weeks of our honeymoon back at Kapinjala. I am counting the days!

It is always difficult travelling to a new country, booking a villa from photographs as they never live up to your expectations. How wrong can you be!! We arrived by taxi laid on by the owners, drove up to the front thinking this looks ok. Then we walked in, wow, it was amazing. Superbly appointed, spotlessly clean and greeted with a smile and a rum punch, fantastic. We then took our drinks outside and was greeted by a beautiful 120' panoramic view out across the undulating countryside and the only protected bay on the island and out to the ocean, spectacular.
The kitchen was well equipped with everything one would expect from home. A welcome pack already laid on meant we didn't have to worry about food and drink until the next day. There was a superb meal laid on for us by the housekeeper. We were able to change into our shorts and enjoy the rest of the day. It was as good as staying in a top class hotel without the checking in and other holiday makers.
The location of the villa is about 20-30 minutes from the airport, in a tranquil, isolated, yet not remote position. It has been cleverly designed to look modest from the front and a mansion (to take advantage of the view) from the rear. Incidentally the external photographs do not do the villa any justice. The infinity pool is wonderful, a decent size to actually swim in. There was nothing better than cooling off, enjoying the view, well apart from sitting in the Jacuzzi with rum punch watching the sunsets. The weather was great, with temperatures in the low 30's. Generally there was a cooling breeze throughout the day so the large south facing terrace remained comfortable. Having said this should you want to escape the sun, there was always the open covered veranda.
nFinally, the Island itself, having stayed on various islands in the Caribbean, I have to say this is probably the least commercialised and unspoilt, which was a pleasant surprise and felt safe and secure throughout my stay.
The holiday was for 2 weeks and the time flew by. I was able to enjoy 14 days in the sun by arriving in the at lunchtime and leaving as the sun was setting. Incidentally the flight home took just 7 hours and twenty minutes. I had a superb holiday and a wonderful stay. Thank you.

The Villa is superb, spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with everything laid on.Excellent pool, stunning views, with a short but steep walk to a secluded beach.
A hire car would be a great advantage, but it would be possible to stock up with provisions, and just relax. The "kitchen" and barbecue, would cope with anything. However the "locals are very friendly, and it pays to get around.

So much effort has gone into the selection of this stunning site and wonderful design. The attention to detail is breathtaking.Sue and I have been fortunate to see much of this planet but we have never seen anything like Kapinjala.
