This was our second holiday at the beach house, the first was in 2009. And we liked it even more than last year. Here we have found our paradies.

In the reports below more or less erverything is told about the house, Castara and also Porrigde, who was again a great care taker for us. What schould we say more.

So far: it is not easy to understand how it feels, sitting at the balcony and watch the sunset at this place, if you have not done this experience by yourself. Try it and you know what I mean.

Castara and the beach house makes a dream come true.

We enjoyed the leatherback turtles, whales, barracudas, flying fish, Mot Mots, Pelikans, hummingsbirds, and much, much more other animals.

April was really hot and dry, so we spend much time in and on the water eg. doing boattrips with Poridge, snorkelling, catching some Bonitos and make a nice BBQ at Paradies Bay.

We will come back.

A beach house,

Never in my life have i been able to sleep so close to the sea, watch the amazing wildlife and chill out completely. WE fell in Love with this place - I am a keen traveller but I have never really been so captivated by anywhere such as Castara. Staying at the beach house, made it even more specaial. Upon our arrival, we met the nicest of people next door and upstairs, and the 1st night we were having a bbq with them all (the fish had been caught that day on Anacondas Boat by our very keen neighbour/fisherman).

As for the beach house, if there was ever a negative review - I really cant understahd why??!!! This place is idealic, it warm homely friendly and encaptures you from the moment you walk. There might be a few mosquitos, but Hell what do you expect when you are in a tropcical island net to beach. Take some Mozzie spray, tiger balm and get on with enjoying your vacation!

If you do stay here, make sure you take a trip out with Porridge, A lovely charming man and superb guide.

Staying at the Beach House was a real delight. We spent two weeks in Palm Corner: the location was perfect, just a few steps to the beach, and it felt very private even though you are only two minutes walk from the Boat House restaurant (great food and lovely people). Our room was lovely, simple but with character, a good bookshelf and good quality kitchen equipment. Humming birds and bananaquits come to your balcony and the fruitman delivers daily. Thanks Carole and Graham - you made us very happy!

In February 2010 we realised our dream and came to Tobago. At no point we were disappointed and especially our stay in the Beach House / Coconut Heigths was exceptional. Every day was different and full with experiences we will never forget due to the people, the island and its nature. Also the surrounding and perfect atmosphere of the lodge did a lot to feel very comfortable.

We enjoyed the “easygoing life” in Castara very much with “events” like seeing stingrays, coloured fishes and beautiful corals in Little Bay, getting bread from the ladies at the school, hearing the steel-band and drums on Wednesday at the Boat House, meeting nice people for liming and so on ....

We recommend this special place to all people who do not like camouflage clothes at any time and appreciate this little island and Castara just how they are.

Just back from our most relaxing vacation yet. This was our second time at the Beach House. This year we spent 18 nights and loved every moment. Things were as we remembered it from last year. It's a quaint, rustic home away from home on the beach. The local people are friendly and helpful. One local even delivers fruit and vegetables right to your door or you can walk up the hill to his place. We bought fresh fish at the market in Castara as the fishermen bring their catch in to cook in our apartment. We also ate at several of the restaurants in the village. Food was always good either way.

To sit on the porch in the evening and watch the spectacular sunsets every night, just can't be beat.

The water was always warm and refreshing, and only feet/meters from your door. There is snorkeling on the small reef to the right off the beach. We saw stingrays, squid, parrot fish, eels and numerous other fish.

A special thanks to Porridge, who collected us from the airport and was always available for any information and suggestions too help us out. He always has a smile and a good word to say.

And thanks to Carole and Graham, our hosts, who are very friendly and a pleasure to know.

See you next year.
