The pictures on the website donít do this place justice.

The rhythmic roll of the waves pounding the shore lulled me to sleep during the days and nights I spent at the Mahi Mahi Suite.

The balcony overlooked the soft blue-green water of the Grafton beach and the sky beyond and every evening we were treated to a dazzling sunset display, with the changing yellow and orange colours of the sunset breaking in between the clouds and illuminating the waters.

This place was beautiful. Quite frankly it was my most expensive stay ever in Tobago, but because I had worked so hard, I felt like I deserved a treat and that is precisely what I got. From the moment we walked inside, the impressive sense of space, colour coordination, beauty, lighting, fixtures & fittings took my breath away. The doors stretched up about 10 feet into the air. These were the doors to the bedrooms and for the Master bedroom, the double doors opened to reveal a King size bed with a second set double doors then leading to the Master bath. Which had Double sinks, Jacuzzi, separate shower, and walk in closet.

Oh, I was in my glee! The Kitchen was just as advertised Ė a chefís dream! I baked a corn pie there on the last night of our stay and I swear it came out better there, than when I bake that at home. It must have been the convection oven. What I liked too was the lush greenery you could see from almost all the angles of the property. The beauty of this place was almost surreal. And from our balcony, we could also get a good view of the fishermen pulling in their nets every morning, except Sunday, and by 1am, they were usually done and gone.

The patio furniture was very comfortable, too comfy in fact for my one complaint was the frequent visits of the four legged feline who liked sleeping on the patio furniture. And there are rules against pets! If only they were followed, everything would have been perfect, but alas even though I did spend some time chasing her away, it didnít dissolve the feeling of euphoria I had when I left. This place was really divine.

We stayed at Mahi Mahi for just one week after meeting up with dear friends from Australia. We all enjoyed our stay at Mahi Mahi so much. The accommodations are very well kept, modern, clean, plenty of facilities in the kitchen. The bathrooms were spacious and spotless. Plenty of towels for both beach and apartment. The views from the balcony were stunning. A short walk through the garden gave us access to a wonderful beach. Very quiet for the most part, except for passing vehicles with loud stereo systems. Snorkeling right there with beautiful fish and coral. Warm clean sea and sand. We witnessed a leatherback turtle laying her eggs on the beach one evening. Easy walking distance to local grocery, restaurants, roadside fruit and veg and ATM. We even managed to work out how to use the excellent bus services. Buy a ticket from a lovely elderly lady next to the shops. Accomodations very reasonably priced for the excellent quality. Can easily accommodate 6 people. Cooking and BBQ facilities right there. We even had a local home cooked meal provided for us by one of the staff on request. Definitely a little piece of paradise!

From the moment of our arrival, we were wrapped in a cocoon of safety and comfort. The apartment itself is luxurious with comfortable beds in every room. As it was only two of us, the master bedroom and bath was more than spacious for our needs. The kitchen and gas BBQ grill were a dream to cook with. Nothing beats waking up to the sound of the surf every morning coupled with the noiseless comfort of the A/C unit. The pictures on the website do not do this apartment sufficient justice. The pool was a bit on the high-chlorine side but although it seems small it a deep and shallow enough for different levels of swimmers. We had a great time at Mahi Mahi and cannot wait to return!

From the moment we arrived, I found everything to be far, far better than I expected. Gillian was a wonderful host who went out of her way to make sure my sister and I had a great time, taking us to get groceries as soon as we landed and recommending the great restaurants around the area for meals.

I think a car would be worth it if you want to explore Tobago or take a drive now and then (although Gillian can arrange tours if you desire), but if you're like me, the moment you step into Mahi Mahi, you won't want to leave.

The apartment is so spacious, well-appointed, elegant and cozy that the only time I left it was to eat, or bathe in the pool. I never made it to the beach and I didn't miss it.

My time there was far too short. I can't wait to return to that beautiful balcony, the sea views, the quiet apartment and lovely grounds--and most of all, and my new friend Gillian. I would give it ten stars if I could.
