Fish Pot

Post by Simon Partridge »

No surprise Fish Pot came up trumps again. A great evening spent on the verandah with excellent fish alround from the Amber Cavali to the shrimp and crayfish. Fish Pot is probably the most consistent restaurant on Tobago and we love it!!! =D>

We had the jerked kingfish, delicious but the sauce a bit salty. Won't stop us from retuning again and again. Very pleasant staff and reasonable prices.

Lucky to be in Tobago yet again. Thought we would share our thoughts on eating out so far:
MeShells not good, food & drink expensive for what it was. Some food cold, lacking in atmosphere, no but one but our party of six. It was a Tuesday night so maybe doesn't help.
FishPot as per all our visits great food, service and value for money and no we don't have shares in the establishment, wish we did. =D>
Le Cantina for a pizza was great, to big to have one each but can have 50/50 split toppings. Service ultra efficient and very good value, no wonder it was busy with locals and tourists alike.
Will add further comments as when we visit others during our stay.

Hi Andy

Great stuff - they never fail!

Have you cast a vote for them in our Reader Satisfaction Rating (RSR) awards? If you go to their listing in our Restaurants section (http://www.mytobago.info/restaurants02.php#FishPot ) and click on their RSR rating Image you will be able to cast a vote for your overall satisfaction of your dining experience.

Can I urge everyone to PLEASE always cast votes in all our RSR polls. Thoughout the main pages of the site, wherever you see an RSR graphic, you can click on it to add a vote (one vote per email address per year). These votes are a true reflection of public opinion and we have polls on every subject from the air services travelling to Tobago, to beaches, sightseeing features, restaurants, etc., etc. The more votes cast, the more meaningful the rating.

Clicking on the individual RSR ratings is a quick and easy way to vote for individual features/businesses, but there is a quicker way to cast your votes on a much wider basis and for multiple features at the same time: simply visit http://www.myTobago.info/surveys/ for a list of all the pools available, other than holiday accommodation properties, which can be voted through the 'Add Report' tab of the property listing in our Accommodation section.

Vote away! :D

Eight of us went to El Pescador last night, what great food and the best service we have had there so far. The Nylon Pool dish is a must if you like fish, all sorts of fish from brilliantly cooked squid through to clams, shrimp and amber cavali.
Cocktails were great from bloody marys to tobago surprise. Great evening keep up the good work.
We did ring and book which we feel is the best thing to do on Tobago as the venue then knows who to expect and can plan and be prepared. Makes sense when the island is so quiet, and it worked. Thanks to all the staff at El Pescador.

Two more visits last week.
Beef Tenderloin steak with baked potato, mixed vegetables and green peppercorn sauce, highly recommended.
Grouper with curry sauce, very nice, cooked to perfection. =D>

The season has kicked in early at Fishpot, make sure you place a reservation.

Andy, you know I'm working on it!

It's a good thing when a restaurant like that is doing well. I wish them all the luck.
