Poor decor, needs a revamp in all areas. Awful food , slow service , needs to improve the dining experience.staff are very helpful and friendly. No internet in rooms.towels changed most days , sheets not changed in 2 week stay. No towel rail or clothes hook in bathroom.

Have stayed here before hence the return visit.
Lots of improvements since last here especially the breakfast.
Staff as always are amazing. Special thanks to Christine on reception & the lady cook at breakfast.
Rooms are spacious, well equipped & have stunning views.
Only downside was the bar. I feel they did not encourage guests to frequent it & it was often closed very early in the evening.
However a wonderful stay as always at the Tropikist. We will return.

'A Truly Unforgettable Experience' at The Tropikist Beach Resort's Bayside Restaurant! The staff was friendly, courteous and professional. The Night Manager,Debra Gordon- welcoming, devoted, willing to accommodate. The Executive Chef Lennox Grant, made our 21st Anniversary a memorable one, honored us by preparing and serving a special dinner. 'His Style and Taste is truly exquisite'. Our Waitress, Merlin Pottinger engaged us by her warm table side manner and excellent service. I stayed from Aug. 7-9, 2014. The ladies at the reception desk were pleasant - I was told that I was up-graded (a nice surprise) - the room was on the 2nd floor but there was no-one to assist me with carrying my luggage up the stairs. The room was clean and the bathroom as well - however, the sliding doors to the balcony did not lock and the door to the room did not have a dead bolt or door limiter - there was only a "push knob" lock - similar to what you find on a bathroom door - as a single female traveller, this was a security concern.
The breakfast and dinner buffet were very good (kudos to the chef) however, the buffet line did not have a good flow (the plates were in the middle of the line), the eating space was somewhat limited and the layout could be better (water cooler and tea and coffee in an awkward position) - table settings could be better. Servers did not clear and re-set tables in a timely manner and did not show the same attention to "local" tourists as they did to the "foreign" tourists.
A shuttle service could be offered to Store Bay and Pigeon Point.
I would stay here again.

After watching all thd bad reports I was 2 minded.I only took it because I wanted a place to stay 4 Jazz an they had room....It was a very good stay although 1 employee didn't know how to say morning or evening was the only fault....The food was lovely and the atmosphere was fantastic. The was pool and the hot tub was good.Nice views of the coastal line was excellent....I will stay there sometime soon.
