Mahogany Villa - Reader Reports & Opinion

My husband and I chose Mahogany villa as the venue for our wedding and reception and we were not disappointed. The veranda was perfect for our small dinner reception and the grounds made for some beautiful photographs. The added benefit was that at the end of our day we were only footsteps away from a comfortable bed to crash out on!

We were a little concerned that being in an enclave of villas we wouldn't have much privacy, but the properties are situated in such a way that you are close enough to feel a sense of security but not so close as to be overlooked. We thoroughly enjoyed the facilities and the on site security made us feel at ease.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Mahogany villa to friends and family and look forward to spending time here again in the future.

Beautiful villa, very tastefully and well equipped. Friendly helpful staff. Very restful surroundings. Really enjoyed sitting in the jaccusi of an evening with a glass of wine watching the birds eat their brown sugar. Everything provided in the kitchen. We had a bar.b.q with our friends and found all we needed to entertain them. Good location, near many of the special restaurants. Secure facility which is very well kept. The gardens and joint pool are maintained to a high standard. The other 4 villas in the complex are laid out in such a way that you feel individual and not part of a group. Our grateful thanks to Peter and his staff for a very enjoyable holiday, made all the more special by having Mahogany Villa as our base. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere of high quality to base thier stay in Tobago.

The villa is very beautiful and the team was very friendly, especially Liz; I liked to have breakfast in veranda in front of the garden were we could see birds and squirrels.

The mine stay was agreable and pleasent and I enjoyed very much both the villa and Tobago.

I recommend everybody to try Tobago and Mahogany Villa.

Nice villa in a great location. We had no problems and the villa manager was around to advise us if we needed anything.

The villa is in a good location near a golf course and the shared pool is lovely and kept very clean. There are also good restaurants near by.

Mahogany is indeed beautiful, set in idyllic gardens. The house is well appointed with large airy rooms. Everything sounds ideal doesn't it? But.....nothing worked! The aircondition units were in need of service, the dishwasher was not working, the jacuzzi shut down frequently. The stove had only 2 burners working and the oven sooted up.

We asked the housekeeper as to how much she charges to cook a meal, to which she replied TT$150.00.Not bad at all we thought. She took 3 hours to prepare and cook the meal. Which I found really strange! We found out why afterwards!....It was 150.00 per hour! and the food was horrible, not worth it.

Mahogany has great potential , if not for these glitches it would have been great! The property Manager addressed all our concerns with prompt action and reimbursed us something for our inconvience. I heard recently that there were new owners. I hope it has improved. I will still recommend it,
