Paradise Point Villa & Apartment - Review Page 4
The Viewing Deck
Visitors are sure to be knocked out by the 2,000ft2 partly covered terrace, with its vibrantly coloured upright roof stanchions and unsurpassed views of Castara. The deck was recently repainted by international designer, Daniel Odell Burger. The deck is furnished with padded sun-loungers and a number of all-weather plastic armchairs. It is a wonderful space to sunbathe or relax whilst soaking up the wonderful ethos of the property. At night, the viewing deck is the perfect place to admire the twinkling lights of Castara village and for stargazing, thanks to low levels of light pollution. The only danger is falling asleep!
During our stay, designer Danny Odell was involved in major remodelling of the property. This included planting additional fruit trees, such as mango and oranges, and tropical flowers such as colourful bougainvillea. Several trees have been trimmed back so that guests can enjoy the fabulous sunsets experienced for much of the year. Plans for coming months include a herb garden and an area for tomatoes, dasheen, pumpkin (squash) and the like. Subject to seasonal availability, resident guests can pick fresh limes, bananas and papaya on the grounds. The terrace is shared by all guests.
The owner of this beautiful and unique property, Alice Farling, arranges wedding, family reunions and yoga retreats at Paradise Point from the United States. I cannot imagine a more appropriate or suitable place for such activities. Everything about the property promotes a sense of calm relaxation and wellbeing. It truly is a lovely, and quite unique, relaxing place.
Paradise Point undoubtedly offers high standards of accommodation in a stunning environment. We have no hesitation in recommending both Paradise Point Villa and Paradise Point Apartment.
