Is it possible to hire/charter a boat from Trinidad to Tobago? In other words, are there people/businesses that you can pay to take you between the islands - like a water taxi? I'm looking for a high speed way to get between the islands on my schedule. Planes are fast, but it doesn't seem like I can find flights that go when I want to go. Ideally I'd like to hire a power boat to get across the islands. Thank you for any info.

Hi Tonya. There's 21 miles of open sea between the closest points between Trinidad and Tobago. That is pretty much the same as the English Channel between Dover and Calais. I would have a look at my answer to George's question - immediatley preceeding your post here.
