Re: is it that bad?
Hi Suse
Welcome aboard!
Don't worry - they will be having a wonderful time. Yes, the weather has been unseasonably wet this last few months but despite us getting tons of reports in the forums and accommodation listings, virtually nobody has mentioned the poor weather, except in passing. The rain tends to come in short sharp showers and then 20 minutes later, you can't even tell it rained. Remember, it is warm rain - not like our horrible cold drizzle here in the UK.
For the latest position, please see our weather guru's take on the situation in the thread Liquid Sunshine (note the topic name).

Re: is it that bad?
Hi Suse,
Despite what I said earlier in this thread... my cousin has been here since Wednesday and is already sporting the beginnings of a nice tan. Her husband is quite red and looking a little burnt! Yesterday was lovely for the most part, and although today started a little overcast, I'd say there's a good chance that it'll brighten up by lunchtime!
Besides... the phrase 'liquid sunshine' really DOES apply in Tobago. It's still hot and beautiful!
Lisa.

The weather is always lovely ... it may rain a bit from time to time, but it is always warm and luscious.
That is why Tobago is one of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean with a lovely rainforest and gushing rivers with some of the purest water that I have ever tasted.
Rain does have it's strong points
.
Regards

Re: is it that bad?
Hello Everyone,
I must admit that swimming in the rain in Little Bay Castara is one of the most wonderful things that I have ever done. Being at one with Mother Nature when she is splashing warm rain on you as you are already wet is just wonderful. In Canada where I live it is typical to get lightening storms with heavy rain so we tend to stay out of the water, and therefore away from the beach. In Castara it is totally different and a most heavenly experience. I'm sure your daughter, partner and grandchild are having a wonderful time.
Next time(and I'm sure there will be one) you will have to join them.
What's the weather looking like for next week Paul??

Hi L A
It was not looking too promising when I did my update on Friday but it is looking OK right now as dry airflows appear to be moving back over Tobago.
Unpredictable.
