The Baywatch apartment is a lovely self contained apartment in the beautiful fishing village of Castara. We were met at the airport by Kurt who along with his wife Ivy did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable.
The apartment is surrounded by a delightful tranquil garden where you can safely relax and enjoy watching village life go by.It is very close to the beach and local shops.
Castara is still at heart a fishing village not yet spoilt by too much tourism. Fresh caught fish can be bought from the fishing co-operative on the beach. The bay has lovely golden sand with excellent snorkeling to the right (Little bay/ heavenly bay).We saw turtles and rays along with numerous tropical fish.
The locals are very friendly and make you feel part of the community.Ivy and Kurt are a lovely couple who are only too willing to help in any way they can.
We would suggest you hire a car to get around the island and see all the gorgeous bays and beaches Tobago has to offer
In short we really enjoyed our holiday in Tobago staying with Kurt and Ivy and would recommend the Baywatch as a base to explore the island
