Photographs with a posting

Dear All,
Is there anyone out there who could explain, in very simple terms or preferably diagrams, how to add a photograph to a posting? If so, I would appreciate your guidance!

Hello Neil

Hopefully the following will help:

1) Start a NewTopic or click on Reply to respond to an existing message.

2) Compose your email as required.

3) Place the mouse insertion point on a new line, where you want the photo to appear,then click on the 'Upload attachment' tab immediately to the right of the 'Options' tab just below the posting Submit button.

4) Click on the 'Browse...' button to the right of the Filename address box. This will open a standard navigation window that will allow you to browse to the folder and file you want to upload. Once you have found the file, click on it once to select it and then click the 'Open' button.

5) Having selected your photo, the address will have been automatcially entered in the 'Filename:' field. IMPORTANT: You must now click on the 'Add the file' button to the right of this entry. Doing this actually uploads the file to the computer. It may take a while, depending upon the size of the photo and the speed of your Internet connection. You MUST wait for this step to be completed. Once the file has been uploaded, the screen will refresh and the name of the image/photo will appear under a new section entitled 'Posted Attachements'.

6) Enter a brief caption for the photo in the 'File Comment:' field

7) Click the Submit button to make the post.

There is one caveat to all this. Your photograph MUST be below 2Mb in size. In fact I would strongly recommend that you resize the photo to a maximum width of 1024px before attempting to upload.
